got to use the cryophon the other day. it wasnt nerfed completely into the ground, but it definitely felt worse to use. the fall off change is kind of nice, but id rather have the damage

most of the time you have fighters right in front of you, so the extra range doesnt matter that much when you deal solid enough damage to 1-2 shot most fighters

now its a pretty consistent 3-4 shots, so you basically overheat your guns every time you want to kill one enemy
