Try starting with scholar.google.com

Search for things like "output hypothesis" and look for open access PDFs in the right column

Watch for papers with a lot of citations

You'll find papers, book chapters, slides, various things

There's also a lot of research on JSTOR which anyone can access with a free MyJSTOR account

Many libraries and universities have access to electronic databases like Academic Search and so forth which let you access additional materials electronically for free

Some authors in the field, such as Jim Flege, publish their work for free on their own web pages

Of course, being able to access a good library would help as much as anything, but I understand if that's difficult
