@NicholasJ. You are too!

Meaning "Yes, you are."

Boy: "I am not secretly attracted to women." Girl: "You are too secretly attracted to women." Boy: "I am not secretly attracted to women." Girl: "You are too secretly attracted to women."

It's sense three of too in Macmillan Dictionary: (spoken) used for emphasizing that something is true when someone does not believe it. This is used especially by children "You don't know how to change a tire." "I do too."

As the dictionary suggests, the dialogue from the movie sounds rather childish

Even if they're not actually children

2:16 AM
Arent't they college undergrads?

2:53 AM
@snailboat Well, this is the first time I see that use. Thank you"
@StoneyB Indeed, they are.
@snailboat Let me see if I got it right, assuming that the first sentence is said by an adult, the kid is reassuring them that they in fact don't know how to change a tire, right?

5 hours later…
7:34 AM
@CopperKettle Nice!
@NicholasJ. I think the kid is saying that they know how to change a tire.
Oh, it's a sunny day here!
39 C outside!

It's 8°C here.

It may get down to -1 on Tuesday, according to Weather Underground.

Oh, nice :)

I was thinking about making a new avatar based on a snail picture

Anonymous
I don't know if I have any appropriate pictures though

user116848
Yes, that would be awesome. Change it!

Maybe I should draw something instead

user116848
@snailboat Try some beautiful scenery. It will look awesome.

user116848
Or draw a snail :)

@DamkerngT. Hello. How are you?

9:11 AM
@snailboat A beautiful snail!
@DamkerngT. Thanks, Damrkerng!
And good day everbody!
I bought a second router and now am wondering whether it's okay for them to have the same wifi SSID and password. After all, their coverage will overlap. All descriptions I find on the web do not go into any detail.

9:31 AM
@snailboat It's 29 C now!
@Farooq I'm having some fun with my new things. ;-)
@CopperKettle That sounds interesting, and I think it's even possible, but what good would it be unless you have two different Internet providers? (I don't think you can have two ADSL routers (either the same or different SSIDs) on the same telephone line.)
Oh, I just noticed that you already bought the second router. Maybe you'd already had some plan. :-)

@DamkerngT. I want to expand WiFi coverage inside my flat so that my sister gets higher speeds in her room. I've set up a separate SSID on the second router for now. Connected router 2 to router 1, disabled DHCP. (0:

Connected how? Via a LAN cable, perhaps?

But many manuals I found online recommend using the same SSID, so I wondered wouldnt the two routers clash
@DamkerngT. Yes, using a lan cable

Oh, that's quite possible, then.
And you don't have anything with fixed IP addresses on your network, right?

D-Link DIR 300, seems to work, and even at 150 mbit/s, which is quite fast
@DamkerngT. I have a "home network"; some users are with fixed IPs, some are not.
Router 1 is used as the DHCP server

9:44 AM
Ah, your router has an Internet input port.

Yes, Router 1 has a WAN port to connect to the provider.

I'm not sure how a device will be assigned an IP address when it's connected to your 2nd network which has its DHCP server disabled.
In one of my settings, both routers will have DHCP enabled, but it will assign different ranges of IP addresses.

I set up one IP manually within the first router's range, seems to work

nods

Anyway, the DIR-300 has some "DHCP relay mode", I might try that if cellphones and stuff will not work through it (0:

9:47 AM
A-ha!
The one I used didn't have it.

The one DIR-300 that I had (which croaked some years ago) also didn't have it. (0:

I think everything will work fine, then. :D

yep.. (0:
The Moscow blizzard has reached us this morning, I can't see most of the city from the window (0:

Oh, a blizzard!

Yes, it will snow for the whole of today and the whole day after tomorrow

9:52 AM
> -11 °C; Feels Like -20 °C
Very interesting!

(0:
It's due to the fast easterly wind

Oh, the wind can indeed make it feel much colder. I remember that when I went to Berlin.

Easterly winds come from Eastern Siberia and make the weather ass-cold

This is your winter, right?

@DamkerngT. Yes, it's winter here now.
We're in the Northern Hemisphere (0:

9:57 AM
How long would the winter over there be?

@DamkerngT. This year, the last major snowfall was on April 30

Oh! Four more months!

But usually from April 15 it's Spring at full tilt
The coldest weather starts at around January 15 and lasts until the end of February
So it's the mild period now

If this is mild, argh, I wouldn't like to imagine when it's not as mild!

Not as mild is when it's below minus 20 (0:
January 1 and 2 are forecast to be not as mild
Laters! (0:

10:04 AM
See you later!

7 hours later…
4:38 PM
Good evening! I've just tried to translate a jocular little ditty in Russian (0:
Snow is falling on the pavement
What a glee to passers-by!
Suddenly a tipsy guy
Tripping in his battered raiment
Also tumbles on the pavement
What a glee to passers-by!

5:18 PM
(But I wonder if it should be "tumbles on the pavement" or "to the pavement")

2 hours later…
7:08 PM
Good evening
