@Everyone To all downvoting (and voting to close), I would like to make a request: ask yourselves if you are downvoting this because of my tone or because of the issue under discussion in the post. Please, take 2 minutes of your time and sincerely ask that. After that, evaluate if the reason why you are downvoting this is useful to improving MSE in any way, which should be the purpose of meta as I understand. — Aloizio Macedo 4 hours ago
As I have mentioned before, I have seen quite a lot deleted questions on meta. (And whoever follows meta probably noticed that too.)
I think some of them were legitimate question and probably they could stay. (But it seems that other users evaluated those questions differently.)
Since you are 10k+, you can see in moderation tools the most recent deletions and decide for yourself whether you think all of them should have been deleted.
FWIW looking at the close votes review (which was linked from the timeline), it seems that at least some users think that your question probably should not be closed.
Of course, saying that a question should stay open and be discussed is not the same as saying that I agree with the position taken in the question.
Maybe the situation is similar to another recent question, which is now deleted. (If you follow meta, you probably noticed that there was quite a lot of drama around it.) Some users considered it to be an attack on a specific user. (The user was not named in the post, but was identifiable with some effort.) Some users consider the mentioning of a specific user just as an example and took a question as a general question. (And even tried to show the OP that they are wrong in answer/comments.)
So if some users see your question mainly as an attack on one specific user, they might decide to vote to close/delete based on similar reasons as they did for that question. (But I certainly agree that the two questions have rather different tone.)
