@Downgoat Should be fixed now. Make sure to POST with application/json

12:39 AM
ok cool
@Mego still getting error:
sqlalchemy.exc.StatementError: (builtins.TypeError) 'BaseQuery' object is not callable [SQL: 'INSERT INTO answer_revision (answer_id, revision_id, language_id, language_name, code, commentary, encoding, deleted, revision_time, user_id) VALUES (%(answer_id)s, %(revision_id)s, %(language_id)s, %(language_name)s, %(code)s, %(commentary)s, %(encoding)s, %(deleted)s, %(revision_time)s, %(user_id)s)'] [parameters: [{'language_name': '', 'commentary': '', 'encoding': 'utf8', 'user_id': 3, 'deleted': False, 'answer_id': 20, 'code': '()=>"hgroe das hpfuodhsfasdkjjhcsd;kfjagsf;"', 'language_id': 'js'}]]

I am going to see how system fonts do on Axtell
should speed up load time too (though fonts are cached)

5:12 AM
@ConorO'Brien is this still wanted even w/ SE login
I can add it but I don't want Axtell to be one of those sites with 1000 login methods

5:40 AM
@Downgoat yes

The dark theme looks sooo much better since you removed that shadow

@Downgoat I have no idea what that error means :/

Maybe it's just me but answers on a challenge don't feel adequately separated. I see the horizontal rule but maybe it's just not pronounced enough
They seem to flow together so I don't, at a glance, know where one answer ends and the next begins
Also having the byte count floated to the right is a long way for the eye to travel
seems a little clunky
maybe that's because i'm used to how we do it on ppcg
To my first point, the difference on ppcg is that the vote counts are in their own column which shifts the rest of the answer/comments over

Sort options don't render correctly on mobile

I can repro ^ on iOS too.

@Poke yeah, i could put them next to the language name too like:
@ATaco oh, yeah I'm removing that since we don't have a sort backend so it's meaningless

8:51 PM
@Downgoat i like this better

9:04 PM
anyone else have opinions? on the above for byte-counts?

Is it just me or the PPCG importer is broken (loads forever)?

import LanguageLookupViewController from '~/controllers/LanguageLookupViewController';
import ActionControllerDelegate from '~/delegate/ActionControllerDelegate';
import FormControllerDelegate from '~/delegate/FormControllerDelegate';
import PopoverViewController from '~/controllers/PopoverViewController';
import CodeEditorViewController, { CodeEditorThemeType } from '~/controllers/CodeEditorViewController';
import FormConstraint from '~/controllers/Form/FormConstraint';
import ViewController from '~/controllers/ViewController';
Axtell is Java confirm
@Mr.Xcoder that happens when the SE API quota is finished IIRC.
StackExchange will then throw 400s which we should probably indicate to the user.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ It works again now, but it didn't after emptying caches and plenty of reloads
And now the SE importer is incompatible with PPCG's MathJax :|| \$ -> $, that is

hmmmm
I mean i could try to do a regex find/replace for imports
idk if that'll break other things

: Show a preview of imported posts before posting, and presenting a confirmation prompt (???)

yeah, right now I am doing some more refactoring (moving things into templates) so that way we can have better JS interactions
I've added a new Request subclass which runs through DOMParser so we can get pre-rendered templates from the axtell server
this means less code duplication (from frontend and backend)

10:48 PM
@Downgoat how could you possibly have run out of quota?
If you're using an access token it's 50,000

@quartata oh dang
we are passing the client_id, does that give us increased quota?
wait nvm we are getting authkey
wat
i dunno why that's happening because as you see in the link we run the exact same request so no idea why SE would 400 us except in cases of quota

it returns an error message
50,000 if you use key + OAuth token from a user, that is
10,000 otherwise, unless you're me in which case it's 20,000

@quartata safari says it can't get response body so not sure if there is one

(ok well and the rest of Charcoal)
@Downgoat Almost certainly not running out of quota then if it doesn't work from your browser, since it's per-IP
Use Postman
Wait hold up
This is from the client-side
?
It can't be running out of quota then, like I said it's per-IP

if it's not quota then it's either SE's fault or something in the auth process (though it shouldn't 400 in that case) since we do the exact same request

11:02 PM
It would definitely 400 if you gave it a bad access token
Like I said, though, it returns an error message in JSON. it has to be present

@quartata only reason I can think it would give a bad access token is if login failed, but that can't be the case because it happens when login succeeds
if there is no access token either an error is thrown or the request will never run
@anyone if you get a 400 when logging in for the importer please ping me and hopefully we can debug what is causing issue

How do you know the login "succeeded"
Do you make a call to /me?
Is that working?
(The reason I say this is because I'm pretty sure the respone body is empty if the login failed.... So maybe you're setting that as your access token)
Granted this is the client side flow which I've never used

11:21 PM
@quartata if it failed it'll redirect to a different page and go down a whole other execution path
is this OK for editing UI?
