@TheDestroyer Where did you get this impression? post the verses from Vedas.
@TheDestroyer First of all this answer has some anachronisms that are indefensible which is also the reason this answer has not been accepted.

@LakshmiNarayanan It's pure waste of time to discuss with someone who has prejudices and those who can't digest the fact that they are multiple ways to reach ultimate truth. Generally, two unrealized ego centric souls would do that. It's better we stop it and you do your own sadhana of your sampradaya which your Gurus and Paramagrus taught you and i follow the path which i am inclined to.

@TheDestroyer "Actual Veda Purusha who is Lord Rudra" This clearly shows your bias so at least stop pretending and saying that you believe Vishnu and Shiva are at same level.
@TheDestroyer Yes it is much more civilised to talk behind their back.

Q: What are the similarities and differences between Purushamedha Yagna and Sarvamedha Yagna?

LakshmiNarayananWhat are the similarities and differences between Purushamedha Yagna and Sarvamedha Yagna? I am interested in answers that directly quote the relevant verses from the Vedas.

@LakshmiNarayanan It's not bias. It is what Vedas say unless some who interpret Purusha with Narayana through verse "Sri pati" ignoring hri and other words which mean whole Prakriti not just fortune. Again, i suggest you to read scriptures without any bias and decide your self. This is from Samhita not from Brahmanas or Aranyakas. Samhitas explicitly mention Rudra as Purusha where as in some samhitas it is interpreted that Purusha is Narayana too by some sects.
You can first learn Purusha Suktam word to word in Sanskrit without any bias and also see various interpretations and decide with logic than bhakti.

@TheDestroyer Are you talking about Purusha Suktam here?

Enough is said and i'm not gonna waste my time on this. Rather i will use it for something fruitful in my life.

@TheDestroyer So now you conveniently accept Commentators? How is this logical in your words when you deny authority and Acharyas their place. This is a joke.
@TheDestroyer So people who think like you are without bias and rest of the others for e.g. Appaya Dikshitar(whose authority is accepted by Advaita Mutts) who clearly state that nArAyaNa cannot be applied as Moniker to Shiva on the basis of their logical and scholarly analysis of the Vedas are biased!
@TheDestroyer It is sad to see that people will dismiss opponents position and disengage in mid conversation on the face of logic based in scriptures. I guess that's to be expected from people who go around accusing others of ego etc,. when their own position is questioned. Clearly it seems that people like this are approaching from a position of weakness and fear than from strength and devotion.
