invalid answers are a common flag reason on CGCC and mod policy is to just delete them if they don't get fixed
not sure if that extends here or anywhere else tho; validity is a bit more clear-cut for us

Depends on what it means by "invalid". I'm following the principle that wrong answers should be downvoted, not deleted so that future answerers won't (need to) post the same wrong answer again.
