@Sakamoto the author's co worker/family presumably said that they won't continue the series or story in "honor" of the creator
I think it would have been easier if author of popular stuff would just make their manuscript/LN public instead, so the story can at least have some continuity (eg: by fans) or just have an actual ending (since most LN/manuscript have most if not all the story planned out)
but I guess that's how things go sometimes look at berserk
(note I'm not complaining, but mostly conjecturing)

@NordineLotfi regarding the ending, alot of time a death is sudden and unexpected and the ending isn't actually planned yet
they might have the next few chapter/volumes planned out but it wouldn't be a for sure thing
it's why we get some inconsistencies in the plot or power creep

@Memor-X yeah, but like, If there was a LN, even if the ending wasn't there, we would at least get more story plot and be able to maybe get an ending closer to the real one
but I guess one would only hope this should have happened :/
it's like with Naruto, there so much plot hole, and yet, it feel like there a lot of missed content that could have fit; like they could have planned some backstory for X character but they choose to scrap it and instead just went with putting them in the background, etc
those kind of things would have more chance to be explained in LNs
