@SPArcheon the theory that my brother and I have - which is more or less just speculation so take it with a grain of salt - is that the archons aren't actually at war with each other (they'd probably destroy teyvat) but rather their subordinates, e.g. the fatui, are
also my brother mentioned that he thinks tsaritsa probably grants visions out of pity, which does make quite a bit of sense - all the cryo vision-holders seem to have rather tragic or sad backstories

Not really interested in it, but I still think they should up the graphics artstyle by now.
@hyper-neutrino look, not really that sure. The point is that if the Cryo archeon is the one collecting gnosis and attacking other archeons then it makes no sense for her to leave Cryo powers to her enemies.
I mean, why would one leave Rosaria able to use Cryo?
Also, Anemoboxer Vanguard are a thing.

Yeah, I agree. It definitely doesn't make too much sense to me. My other theory - admittedly, quite far-fetched, is that any vision can be granted by any archon, so Venti gave Klee her pyro vision, for example. I don't know of any examples such that that would make sense, or counterexamples.

I don't think delusions need the "consent" or the archon to exist though, like the Fatui can just manufacture them to whatever element they want? I'm not exactly sure how they work

like, I'm not too sure about whether it's the current archon that grants a vision of their element, the current archon that grants a vision to someone and the element is chosen based on ideals/values, the spirit of the archon (as in the power of the archon itself, not the current embodiment, so like barbatos instead of venti, rex lapis instead of zhongli, whatever) that grants the visions and thus is not subject to modern-day conflicts, w/e
maybe it's somewhere in the lore or mangas but i unfortunately haven't really had the time to go that in-depth, if it's even there

Mind you, not meaning that the thing will be exactly the same, but I think that it could be an indication that Venti isn't telling the full story. And that he could be somehow "trying" to keep people unaware of what is happening because Vennessa didn't exactly "ascend" like they claimed.
Will be interesting to see what they will do.
As now, the vision thing seem somehow similar to the "ex-spheres" from Tales of Symphonia.
Which ended up to be a great scam....

Right - I don't expect they'd make it exactly the same. But pretty much everything we know so far has been pretty in line with this theory so it does seem like it'll go approximatly in that direction. That's very cool, I've never actually heard of gnostic theory before - thanks for sharing

the game menu is actually called "Paimon" menu. She moves while the game is paused.

hmmmm. actually, yeah paimon never seems to appear except for when you can pause or when you are in dialogue with an NPC (though you can still enter combat while in dialogue)
she sometimes talks to you as you are walking around or fighting but she never appears in physical form

The way she acts and seems to care about some thing is too realistic to claim she was faking everything at a later time.
Wouldn't work from a mere story-telling point of view.
Furthermore, she is integrated in the UI.

The most realistic thing is that Paimon hides some knowledge like Midna does in Twilight Princess
Like, she could even be tied to the Abyss, but the plot would still be that she escaped to find a different way

yeah i think paimon betraying us makes no sense lore-wise, in terms of how it would affect the game, or from a business standpoint / pleasing the playerbase. it's a funny theory to think about but there's no way that happens
falling from celestia. that definitely could make sense. though - does paimon only fly when conscious, and thus would fall if knocked unconscious / asleep / something? does she expend energy to fly or does she naturally float

or atleast internationally, never saw it on their site
work seems to have blocked Pixiv and in a really really stupid way as i can get around it and am in the process of scripting something to bypass it (because it's a really stupid method of blocking and so easily bypassed)
