hello, i hope that you'd help me by recommending an anime. I am looking for an anime (modern or old) with a nice serious plot, no trolls and definitely no sexual innuendos (ecchi out of the question) or fan service

ok, i would suggest Death Note (cult classic), Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, the Kara no Kyoukai movies, Monogatari series, Thunderbolt Fantasy which is done with puppets but it's good quality, Puella Magi Madoka Magica for a bit more darker Magical Girl stuff, Toradora for romance, Natsume's Book of Friends (don't let the title fool you, the Book of Friends is a book of Youkai names which makes them subservant to the book owner)

wait, maybe scratch off Monogatari because there is innuendo scenes like that teeth bushing one and the Fire Sisters shown sleeping together naked (tell me they aren't yuri)

already watched death note and dropped fma i think, can't remember

i should add that i don't want magic in the show either

@Luyw magic as in like protag using magic powers or just existence of supernatural stuff. in Natsume's Book of Friends Natsume's only power is being able to see Youkai but he has little to no fighting ability but there are Youkai who fight and some people who are trained to fight and hunt Youkai

@Luyw yeh Natsume's book of Friends migth sit in a middle ground. i'd watch a few episodes to see if you're ok with it. it's mainly about a guy helping Youkai and giving back their names that his grand bother took, but later seasons he does deal with this guy who heads a clan of Youkai hunters and another guy who eomplyess Youkai to fight
