Q: Sewing and painting clothing PVC?

Fringe_Agent13everybody: I'm looking to do my very first cosplay and I was looking at this video for some good fabrics to use: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qKDdUe3avXw. At 1:45, she mentions 'clothing PVC." I want to use this but I have a couple of questions: 1) Is a special needle required to sew this ma...

Arch's Plasma got a visual update
I don't like it

@Gallifreyan Arch's Plasma?

Arch Linux's Plasma desktop environment

@Gallifreyan oh. got a link to a comparison?

Haven't got any pics from the old version
The differences are mostly minor so far, but those are often the most annoying

I stopped liking Plasma (and KDE in general) after KDE5 came out.
KDE4 was quite pretty, but 5 seemed more like... Windows' Metro theme.

@forest got a link to comparison? :P

Don't have one on me but I'm sure a quick search would bring it up.
I've been using a plain window manager sans a desktop environment for years now.
I like the minimalism.

I've yet to reach that level of Linux mastery
How would I start?

Look up guides for installing and using the i3 window manager.
It's actually quite popular among anime fans, surprisingly.
Maybe 70 or 80% of screenshots of people using i3 involve an anime wallpaper. :P

I think Ave was talking of something like that

It's a tiling window manager so it requires a bit of a mental paradigm shift to get used to, but it ends up being much better for productivity once you do get used to it. A tiling window manager auto-fits windows as "tiles", so no matter what, 100% of your screen space is being used. Windows never float above another window and any new window that opens rearranges the tiles.
Of course, you can change the relative size of tiles, so there's no reason that your browser must take up only 50% of the screen if a 12 word notice window is open at the same time.

Wow

10:42 AM
If you've ever used tmux or screen in a terminal, it's a bit like that, but for windows, not shells.

That's scary

It's actually really nice. Look at some of the videos for using it. It can be used entirely without a mouse if you wish (and by default, you control the window manager with your keyboard).
And it doesn't require any special Linux skills to get used to either, just a bit of practice.
@Gallifreyan Some WMs are way more minimalist. There's one called dwm where the configuration file is a header file, so changing the config involves recompiling the whole WM. :D
This is an example of dwm (that's one of the WMs I like):

Q: Can SuperAlloy Darkshine be hurt?

PabloIt's said that the battles SuperAlloy Darkshine lost was due to running out of stamina , not because his physical body was damaged. Is this true? Can SuperAlloy Darkshine be hurt?
