@ahiijny After graduating from Ms. Yukari's class, Ayumu Kasuga realized that she still looked like a young teenager and decided to take highschool again to see if she could be taken more seriously the next time around.
@forest yeh i wouldn't be able to answer that. i never really noticed anything bad atleast from the stuff i watched dubbed (Soul Eater. Fullmetal Alchemist, Bleach, Naruto, etc.)
however getting the dubbed home release generally doesn't mean you miss out on anything. dubbed home releases are generally duel audio with english subs anyway
@forest Perhaps nobody, but think about it like this: Some people are illiterate, and others may even be blind. The dub may also be a selling point for the licensers to choose specific licensees.
@Tonepoet That's actually a good point. And come to think about it, Tatami Galaxy and Bakemonogatari took some serious effort to read the subs at full speed.
@forest There are scenes in Bakemonotagari where I have to pause, but I'm not even sure if you were even supposed to read the on-screen Japanese text that fast anyway.
> Lord Freezer: I have the distinct impression that you're going to be difficult Nail: well sir if you have a problem with out customer support you can call 1-800-eat-a-dick Super Kami Guru: we don't even have those!
I can't say much about the most recent season. I haven't really kept on-top o' things in a long time. The most recent thing I am interested in seeing is Lost Song though. The promotional art looks promising:
Which is not even to mention how generic the supporting characters look:
Esp. the males. I mean Fate/Prototype called, and it wants Saber back for one thing, and I am pretty sure the guy in the red cape next to him is probably somebody we're not supposed to like with that thin parted hair, and that smug look on his face.
But hey, there are worse things than a Playstation Era J.R.P.G., as the Daily Dot described it, in terms of storytelling, so despite the possibly derogatory intention of that description, that's possibly worthwhile.
Long Version
At the beginning of volume 7 (Fail 56), Tomoko is late to school because she got stuck watching My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, a western animation. However, she refers to this show as an anime. Like an idiot, I got really hung up trying to figure out what the reasoning and imp...
I watch anime every now and then. I started reading the manga of Tokyo Ghoul recently and I have issues reading it. The speech bubbles(balloons) used often don't have a tail (i.e.,a protrusion that points to the person who is speaking/thinking that) which makes it difficult for me to figure out w...
Is it ever explained why some humans develop superpowers in the One-Punch Man universe? I'm not just talking about Saitama, I'm talking about the other heroes and martial artists. No one seems to think it's unusual that there are people who can lift up huge boulders (Tank Top Master), move fast...
@ahiijny Funimation can geoblock their youtube video (which they do sometimes) however the message generally indicates that it's not available for my country
this time the video just isn't avalible
or who knows, maybe it is being geoblocked and youtube has made the messages stupiddly generic
@ahiijny yeh Sakamoto and Mai sounds good but not Yuuko. still, the dubbed home release will have the subbed version so no biggie
@JNat i'm watching Thunderbolt Fantasy....though it's not current season stuff
haven't checked out the new season stuff yet. will be getting that list tomorrow
@Tonepoet Playstation Era J.R.P.G weren't all bad. we got Final Fantasy 7 and 9, 4-6 was re-released and there's The Legend of Dragoon
@Tonepoet naaa, twitter oneboxing is broken
though it wouldn't have worked there because the twitter link has to be it's own post. it's discord that will onebox links within the post
@Memor-X That's just what I was saying, more or less. I wouldn't count 4-6 'cause they're S.N.E.S. games though, but we almost certainly can't forget F.F.T. and its tale of political intrigue.
@Memor-X Aye, the resemblances betwixt them be uncanny. I think I've shown depictions comparing the two before, but the safebooru subdomain for images changed so...
@Memor-X Vanillaware's Odin Sphere for the Playstation 2. It was rereleased for the Playstation 3, Playstation 4 and I think maybe even the Vita as Odin Sphere Leifthrasir, And yes, she's the one in the blue.
It was one of those games localized by Atlus, so you know, relatively obscure animesque stuff.
As we read in the Fairy Tail manga,
Because of choosing to stay human, the two seeds inside Natsu's body(Dragon seed & Demon seed) was vanished
Does that mean, END(Etheriois Natsu Dragneel) is dead?
I have another reason of suspicion because of Zeref Dragneel. As we know,
Zeref is the...
It has seven playable characters and hybridizes brawler style gameplay with R.P.G. elements, although it should be noted that when I say brawler style that it doesn't have as any depth of field. Somewhat like Tales of Phantasia I suppose?
Okay, maybe I was mistaken: It looks like just five playable characters.
