@Memor-X Steam already retracted their recent demands and now are planning to review the games again and bring forth specific complaints. Overall though I'm still not very optimistic about the platform for English language VNs so more options are certainly a good thing.
@LoganM yeh, especially since Valve has had their lips shut about A Kiss For the Petals: Maidens of Michael well before this.
i honestly don't trust Valve with Visual Novels at this point as going by what MangaGamer said about Kindred Spirits they worked with Valve Reps to get it on the store in the first place because MangaGamer wanted to comply with the user agreement, only for them to turn around and said they were in violation is a stab in the back
but from what i have seen, GoG has some curation for indies so atleast one can assume a significant reduction of shovelware shit in the visual novel department. assuming they get on there as i read that you have to pitch to GoG in how your game is unique or does different from other games just like it
That is stupid, but it's just a symptom of a bigger problem that no one (including Valve themselves) has any clue what Valve's policies are regarding this.

but the meme is real. when asking about javascript if you don't want jquery point it out in the question and don't hesitate to downvote anyone who answers with jquery after that
@Proxy yeh i did a bunch of javascript stuff at work and works fine for me. people complained it didn't work so when i investigate i found out that they are all using IE. i have made a note that IE Comparability is the lowest priory thing on my list so use Firefox instead
