@forest Nobody who knows will tell you, except maybe Masked Man himself, if you can contact him. The moderators on the Stack Exchange network have a very broad interpretation regarding what constitutes a breech of privacy.

From time to time, we see Garmillans speak, but sometimes in their alian language and sometimes in Japanese. Is this just to add flavor (and we should assume it is always the Garmillas language which is spoken)? Or does this dual dub have some setting/plot significance?
@forest It would only be possible for us to know if he exchanged contact information with an active user who felt at liberty to tell us. There is a greater possibility of that in the case of a famed user, but the main profile lacks contact info. and presumably a friend would respect privacy boundaries. At English Language & Usage we have a famous missing member too, and we have no clue as to what happened. This was the only supposition made about the lack of news:
