@ton.yeung i know. main problem is that i can't seem to find any IT programming jobs which is what i'm good at. at least locally, plenty in Melborune but that's a 2 hour drive and i ain't moving there

the only it job i wont do, ever, is customer support. i do that at home and hate it plus i am no good dealing with people. a tleast with IT Programming i'm in the background and rarely interact with others

but with the lack of jobs i'm willing to even settle for a full-time position in KFC if it secures me and 50k a year income

I have a hard time believing it will affect search engines dramatically.

Sites like MAL have pages for hentai, and yet they still do quite well in rankings. So does Wikipedia, which has basically no restrictions on sexually explicit content.

I've heard people say things like "if we allow this, Google may blacklist the site", but that just sounds like fear-mongering. The only example I can remember of that actually happening is Sankaku Complex in 2010 or so, and that block was quickly removed. I don't think we're in any danger if that's the standard.

@LoganM google wouldn't blacklist a site just because of a mention of henati would they? you can google Fakku just fine

I don't know the specifics of Google's algorithm, and neither does anyone else other than Google's own engineers. But from the data I can see, it doesn't look like blacklisting is anything to worry about.

As far as I know, Google is only really interested in removing sites that are abusive (e.g. malware) or which they get DMCA takedown requests for.

It is possible that questions about hentai may have some negative effect on our page rank, but I'm quite sure that it won't result in us being removed entirely.

If that's the case, then I think some questions can be reopened

@Memor-X Licensing of things like this generally operates on the principle that it's much easier for the consumer to buy from overseas than it is for the distributor to sell overseas.

It's the same reason you don't see much in the way of licenses to distribute in Russia, India, and Brazil, even though they're among the top 10 largest economies in the world. The people who really want things will import them at a slightly higher price, and the demand is rather inelastic so there's little more revenue to be had by eliminating that.

@LoganM but NISA doesn't even ship to them anymore, if you look here if you want to buy from NISA and are in one of those countries you have to use their European Store which is separate stock of only games, no anime and no merch. not to mention i never saw a statement of why they needed a European store in the first place when they handled overseas orders just fine originally.

now if they said they were loosing money by doing overseas shipping i could accept it but so far it just looks like Square Enix, sell all the merch and games primary for the US Store, EU Store get a very limited selection. so far Idea Factory has kept consistent between both stores but the only item that isn't is a Nendoroid of Noire and that was limited sale 1 per customer

@LoganM most of their stuff (merch, Limited Editions) you can only buy in their website so i don't see how they loose money because in the end third parties are buying though NISA.

@Memor-X Third parties can distribute pretty much anywhere without worrying about licensing issues. However, the license itself often limits the ability of the licensing company to distribute to those countries where they licensed it. So it's quite possible that they legally can't sell the stuff overseas.

off-topic: New site design for android.stackexchange.com is very blue. I clicked a question with a rather long title (android.stackexchange.com/questions/109833) and it looked like I'd accidentally highlighted the whole header.

@LoganM why is it blue? shouldn't it be green to follow the theme of the Android Logo? or did google change the theme to be blue?

I guess the logo is usually green, but android itself defaults to a bluish color scheme.

Q: Why in World Trigger do the characters have times when their face gets blank during dialog

Why is it that the characters faces do this at various points in the dialog and what is it meant to convey? I wonder if perhaps this is a Japanese culture or anime culture expression that I have not seen before?

Q: Is the new movie the end? Of Heaven's Lost Property?

Is this new movie the end there are so many loopholes in the story. That have yet to be filled in. I hope after this movie they still continue the show and pick up on season 3.

@ton.yeung $100 is pretty average for a 1/8 scale figure. Certainly there are cheaper ones, but you could easily pay a lot more as well (e.g. for anything with "Fate" in the name).

Also, I'd think $100 would last a lot longer than a week of food. I usually eat at home, and it rarely comes out to more than $5 per day.

Like I said, tobasco isn't really hot sauce at all. Even their hottest habanero sauce is 7000 Scoville units, and the original one is around half that. I usually only use sauces with over 100k units or more.

I think most people have probably tried Dave's Insanity Sauce, it's rather popular. That's pretty decent, though I usually try to go a bit hotter.

Etrian Odyssey has a story (IMO quite a good one), it's just not given as much weight as the gameplay

if you want a character driven story, the Untold spinoff series trades the series's custom character creation for a much more animated and very talkative cast akin to Tales or Final Fantasy
