Talking here half because it will help me think.

Things to deal with:

Locations: the boat, the island. The caves, the fortress, the beach, the rest of the island (mainly just grass and shrubs, but with some pits).

People: boatpeople. Captain, first mate, ship's cook, cabin boy, storm shaman (?)

Island people. (Former) Commander, Acting Commander, the quartermaster, the cook, the workers, the resident storm shaman.

Elementals. The soldiers, the strongest one on the island, the few who would stand a chance of beating the strongest in a fight, and the guy leading them.

The artifact they're there for.
