@Someone because of sexism - in English, traditionally inanimate entities such as vehicles, companies etc, are sometimes talked about as if they are female, while humans are male (except when referring to a particular female person). The latter is becoming archaic and most writers use gender neutral language about humans these days, but if there is a decline in feminizing inanimate entities, it is less noticeable
