I posted that question
not sure how clear it is!

Irrelevantly, I know some mods on other sites are very young in off-site age!

On SO, hat title goes to Undo. He's 19. I'm 24.
There are a few other SO mods in the same age range. 22-28.

24 is a good age to be :D

<5 is the best. No assignments :D

9:15 AM
@BhargavRao haha I think I was uninterruptedly happy until around the age of 6. Then things went gradually downhill until the age of 21.5 when they rapidly started to improve haha

@Zanna Similar, but it was 23 for me. :D

well, I'm happy things are on the up for you ^_^
my real age is 33. A lot older than most of our mods, if not all haha

In less than an year, I'll complete my masters (no plan of a PhD), and I'll be done with the student life. :)
Some mods are 45+

At least being a student gives you a structure and motivation to learn. When I look at some of the work I (painfully) produced as a student, I feel proud, but also slightly sad, because I know I could never come up with such stuff now. But I hope I will find better ways to push myself
I guess some of these messages should be moved to the Island... not sure gossiping about age of moderators counts as moderation activity XD
bbl (I will move the messages when I return)

You've made me an Islander now. :D
I gotta leave as well. 2:30AM here, but the morning class is cancelled.

9:26 AM
haha just an Island holiday :)
2.30AM? Sounds well past bedtime

It's the first week of the quarter, so I'm getting some sleep. Else I get some 3~4 hrs.

ouch

I usually take 3 hard subjects, instead of the usual 2 hard 1 easy. Just want to learn more while I'm in uni. :/

10:09 AM
I can move messages if you like. Do you want me to move the real-world age messages? I would leave the ones about on-site age. Is that reasonable?

10:19 AM
21 messages moved from Raiders of the Lost Downboat
@EliahKagan I did that. Hopefully I got it right

Looks fine to me. The only thing I would've done differently is to also move my message about moving messages. :)

haha sorry

woooooaaahh!
:D

@Zanna In your question you said:
> Answers in any shell or other language will be tested & appreciated by me. If I have to install new packages, no problem.

yes... doesn't make sense?

No it does.
I read that and thought...
... COBOL.

hahaha :)

Q: How to compile and run a COBOL program?

Ajit MEHTACan anybody explain me how to compile and run a COBOL program in Ubuntu? I have never written any program in Ubuntu. Please, give me a simple program to compile and run.

I don't actually know COBOL though.
It's kind of low on my list of languages to learn.
But...
...how do you feel about installing Microsoft Office in Wine / PlayOnLinux so you can run a VBA solution?

I could do that :) How much space does Wine take up? Might have to do it on my 16.04 machine

7:55 PM
Wine doesn't take up too much space, but do you have Microsoft Office?

hmm... no.
I have access to some computers that run Windows and have Office though
going to sleep now, cya later :)
