@SimplyBeautifulArt never heard of that. Do you mean pity? ;-)

Well, so long folks!

See you @amWhy

I wonder whether it is some kind of bug that arjafi earned deputy badge essentially at the same time as he stopped being a moderator.
Since he was not on the site since October 2 according to his profile, it seems unlikely that he raised a flag recently. (And I assume that moderators do not usually raise flags, since they can handle situation directly. So it also does not seem very probable that he this was awarded because of flags he raised while being a mod.)

lol
Wonder if there is a more suitable room for that sort of question @MartinSleziak

Well, that arjafi is leaving the mods team was announced together with the election results.
So it's kind of related.

I suppose yeah

@AsafKaragila thanks for your contributions! Wouldn't be the same without you!

So, how does one retire an election chat, and when. Certainly, the activity has plummeted, post election (understandably). It wouldn't hurt to keep it open for another day or two. Open to suggestions... Let it freeze? I'm pretty sure I cannot delete it. Any ideas @quid, @GraceNote ?

@amWhy yes I'd say let is fizzle out. Eventually it'll surely freeze. I do not see a need to rush shutting it down.
There are still some lose ends some might want to discuss.

@quid Yes, I think that suggestion is spot on; and there are some loose ends ... no rush; it is just that as the "technical" owner of the chat room, I wasn't sure if there was anything I should have, or should, do.

@MartinSleziak while it is rarer a mod might still use a flag at times, e.g., a spam flag. When he became mod he did not yet have the badge and now it says he has 400+ helpful flags. Unfortunately I did not find an old version of his user profile to see the flag count while he was a mod.
But for example my flag count increased (I think) while being a mod on MESE. Maybe being a mod some withholds awarding of this badge.
Found it!

Q: Aren't moderators eligible for the Deputy and Marshal badges too, or has it changed?

BoltClock's a UnicornI've been, ahem, farming spam/offensive flags due to a bug related to handling spam/offensive flags (which has since been fixed). In doing so, I noticed I haven't received the Marshal badge, despite having: 139 helpful moderator flags 355 helpful spam flags 21 helpful offensive flags 7 helpful ...

It's by design. Mods do not get those badges, but they can accumulate helpful flags. Those, then kicked in.
