> What they're saying: Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) said he will vote against both measures due to free speech concerns, quipping: "I'm going to censure the next person who introduces a censure."
@JoeW this dude is always an outlier. He is famously the one who stalled the House proceedings as they were allowed to vote virtually.
and mainly MTG has very few fans to go with in the GOP conference
This one isn't introduced by her though
> The latest: The House is set to vote Tuesday afternoon on a more restrained measure from Rep. Rich McCormick (R-Ga.), who voted against Greene's resolution last week.
02:18
And it seems some who voted against it last week are voting for this one
"restrained" in what sense?
I think it just changes what they accuse her of
Okay. The insurrection language. That was bugging them.
@JoeW yes.
> The idea that criticizing the government of Israel is antisemitic sets a very dangerous precedent that’s been used to silence diverse voices speaking up for human rights across our nation
There is one by Marjorie too
> The chamber is also set to vote on a second censure resolution against Tlaib later Tuesday evening, this one brought forward by right-wing firebrand Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA).
Hypocrisy. Jewish space lasers proponent is calling for censuring someone for alleged false narrative on Israel.

> Democrat Gabe Amo's (expected) victory tonight in a Rhode Island House race means the House breakdown is now 221 Republicans to 213 Democrats, cutting the GOP margin to just three votes to spare to pass measures on party lines.

Mississippi is deep red, as usual.
Although the governor race hasn't been called yet, it seems almost clear Reeves would hold that.

> Greene also threw shots at Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, saying he did not whip votes for her resolution and questioned his support for Ukraine funding.

Democrats might have control of both the house and senate in Virginia

> Virginia Democratic Del. Danica Roem is projected to win her election to the Virginia state Senate, according to an Associated Press race call. Roem will become the state’s first openly transgender state senator.

Roem defeated the Youngkin-endorsed Bill Woolf, a former Fairfax County police officer.
Dude is pretty clear this is a messaging issue and pro-life needs to show them as fighting for human rights. Well, he is in delusion mode.
And he is missing a key point, they can do all that stuff he is suggesting to reduce the demand for abortion in the first place while keeping it legal
If they can reduce the need for it in the first place the numbers of people getting it will go down.
True
22 dems joined.
> The vote was 234 to 188. Four Republicans voted against censuring Ms. Tlaib, while one Democrat and three Republicans voted “present,” declining to take a position.
That is sad, while she said some really stupid stuff we shouldn't be censoring free speech
04:36
> “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free” is an antisemitic slogan commonly featured in anti-Israel campaigns and chanted at demonstrations.
- ADL
@JoeW Jeffries particularly was also hesitant with the use of the phrase.
Brandon Presley is giving a good fight in Mississippi. But I still think he would not be able to win.
It seems there has been accusations on ADL too.
Anyway, a good night for the dems. But it is conspicuous that whatever elections they have won, most of them were particular in not associating them too much with Biden. Case in point: Andy Beshear.

I am noticing a big problem with some of the polls that are showing problems for Biden. Asking a question that is related to his age but not also asking the same question about Trump.
