1:07 AM
Ran into an interesting problem while testing this
Dota 2 Test shows up in my library but doesn't technically have a store page, so it throws an error trying to get the price
I fixed it but man that's weird

huh

also this thing is slow as heck
OK it works
er almost
> Game: Portal Price: 75.0 Owners: ['xpxh4pi']
pretty sure that's not right
sometimes it's 4 decimal places, sometimes it's not???
but
"price_overview":{"currency":"USD","initial":999,"final":999,"discount_percent"‌:0}
what is happening
and I run it again and it works
whattt
whatever

2:02 AM
OK it's running
inb4 run out of quota

@quartata wait hang on shouldn't you use G2A prices if available

What are you doing?

merging our libraries
I think I might have run out of quota for real
because .appid returned None on something
hm maybe not

gets portal well there goes all my disk space time to get another USB-C adapter

not sure why it's not working
some weird game in someone's library maybe
hmm
last one to be processed is 73060 lemme see what that is
"Defenders of Ardania"
It returns a null response from the API
OK
so I realized I forgot to filter it to only multiplayer titles
I'll fix it later I guess

3 hours later…
5:37 AM
@quartata is there even a quota

@2EZ4RTZ well yeah, I've actually even got an SNES in the attic.

5:54 AM
@MartinEnder you have an attic O_o

well sort of. the flat is on the top floor right underneath the roof, and there's some storage space below the roof that you can't actually walk on, but which has a lot of room for boxes and stuff

> You are limited to one hundred thousand (100,000) calls to the Steam Web API per day. Valve may approve higher daily call limits if you adhere to these API Terms of Use.
Now
I doubt I used that much
actually I know I didn't, since I found the bug

@quartata seems very generous compared to SE lol

4:28 PM
OK so I might be hitting this one endpoint too hard, it keeps giving me empty responses occassionally
It isn't an official part of the API so I'm not surprised I guess

4:41 PM
@DJMcMayhem I've been playing Overwatch all week in the evenings and haven't seen you on at all. :p

@AdmBorkBork Yeah.... Crazy busy week
Next week I'll be a lot more free
I think I've had music practice every single day this week until today
But I could probably play tomorrow afternoon

5:29 PM
Finished Axiom Verge. 10 hours of play, looking up two of the more hidden roadblocks. Didn't 100% it (I've got about 85% of the map and 70% of the items and skipped an optional boss, although doing so actually gives you an achievement). The game really has some interesting unique mechanics that I haven't seen in any other MV.

That said, I still prefer any other MV I've played so far. While the story isn't too bad after the first half, and the game has a handful of really lovely set pieces, until the end, none of the regions of the world meant anything to me, and neither did the bosses. The

@DJMcMayhem Hah, I'm attending a wedding tomorrow afternoon. The reception is being held at a local games/comics store (they rented out the whole store) and we get a discount on product purchases.

Ha! That's awesome
When nerds marry...

Pretty much.
Incidentally, I'm going to be wearing a Hollow Knight t-shirt to it.

Can I be your +1 so that I can buy a bunch of stuff? :P

Sorry, wife is already accounted for the +1 (though I'm not sure which way the +1 goes)

That's fine. I'm sure that spouses take precedence over strangers on the Internet (from different states no less haha)
I'm actually going to be installing a new soundboard at my church tomorrow morning. I'm really excited about that
It uses some really interesting technologies (like purely digital audio carried over cat6/ethernet, and then converted to XLRs)

6:00 PM
Oh nifty

It should be fun

6:37 PM
@MartinEnder Nice review. Thanks, I think I'll skip that one.

2 hours later…
8:09 PM
looks oh yay more things to playi just need to have money again lol

8:33 PM
@DJMcMayhem nice

9:10 PM
@AdmBorkBork cool
@MartinEnder Guacamelee was really fun, it was good 2 player IIRC
been a while since I played it

2 hours later…
11:08 PM
@Pavel O_o I thought you didn't like Zachtronics games :P

11:18 PM
@ASCII-only I said it didn't look fun and that I'd give it a shot
Which was a good idea, because I was wrong.

@Pavel dota?

I have me and a 4k friend
Irl friend

@2EZ4RTZ Not right now, too busy.

In ten min?
That is when we start (unranked ez casual)

11:19 PM
Prolly not today, it's my sister's birthday

oh
Tell her happy b-day from me XD
(that sounded super creepy)

@ASCII-only I'm half-tempted to write a TIS-100 assembly interpreter with more usable i/o. I can't figure out how to deal with concurrency tho.

I am typing tacoscript makes me super tense
I see ppl start to type and never send the message

@Pavel Every module (?) has a tick rate

Nvm

11:21 PM
and sleep is essentially infinite ticks

I should have never said anything about it

I could totally launch a thread for each node, but the problem is communication.
Maybe something with C#'s await

@Pavel shouldn't you be celebrating with ur sister? (if you have time to play that thingy u have dota time)
We could even just 1v1

@Pavel Why do you need a thread for each node :P you can just simulate it
Plus it isn't 100% concurrent
e.g. you can't have two inputs in the same tick

I suppose
Then I'd have an array of "live nodes" and iterate through all of them
