There are only a small number of slots into which we can put a custom community close reason. Which of the current reasons would you propose to remove? — Xander Henderson ♦ yesterday
@XanderHenderson They are probably not too keen, but on some sites SE increased number of custom close reasons above the default. For example, Stack Overflow or Ask Ubuntu. — Martin Sleziak yesterday

A: Closing questions with tag "solution-verification"

D.W.I think your proposal is well-motivated, and I appreciate your bringing it up for discussion, but ultimately I don't agree with your proposal. I agree with you that there is a problem, but I don't agree with your proposed solution. The difficulty with your proposed solution is that there is a li...

I am not really sure this is actually true: "there is a limit on the number of custom site-specific close reasons". At least on some sites SE increased the number of custom close reasons. (In a comment under the question I mentioned Stack Overflow and Ask Ubuntu as examples. There is also this FAQ post How do moderators make changes to the site-specific closed question reasons? - it says the following: "A few sites do get a regular influx of off-topic questions in a larger number of distinct categories; if you find this to be the case on your site, post ... — Martin Sleziak 12 mins ago
... a feature-request on your meta site with examples of questions that would benefit from a predefined community-specific close reason option - we'll verify the need for this and work with you to make more reasons available." (At the same time I understand that math.SE would need to have a really good reason to persuade SE that an additional custom close reason is actually needed.) — Martin Sleziak 12 mins ago

Q: How do moderators make changes to the site-specific closed question reasons?

bmikeThere are changes rolling out the week of June 17 2013 to add custom close reasons. Closing changes: on hold, unclear, too broad, opinion-based, off-topic reasons, bye-bye to Too Localized What (and when) do site moderators need to do to configure these custom off-topic close reasons for each...

A: How do moderators make changes to the site-specific closed question reasons?

Shog9Introduction Per-site close reasons were created to reduce the amount of confusion and debate surrounding what specifically is on- or off-topic for a given site. Folks asking questions for the first time are often unclear on what is allowed or expected; by explaining common misconceptions in a cl...

The quoted part seems relatively clear - but maybe somebody has actually some experience with this and knows whether this actually worked on some site that needed more close reasons.
It is a separate question whether there is actually a need for an additional close reason on Mathematics - but regardless of that, it is probably good to know how this actually works.

I have asked this question: math.stackexchange.com/questions/4888153/… It is from an exercise taken from the celebrated Liebeck's book. It is an even-numbered exercise with neither hint nor solution available. I get one negative vote and also one voted to close. What is wrong with question? As user @trueblueanil notes: 'A lot of controversy has eruted over the meaning of the problem.'

@Dimitris I would suggest that you read math.meta.stackexchange.com/a/9960 (and the other answers in that thread).
The question you have asked is, essentially, just the statement of the problem itself, with a completely unexplained computation. This is not the kind of question that is likely to be very well received on the site---you need to provide some more context.
