Q: Firing mods and forced slippery relicensing: is Stack Exchange still interested in cooperating with the community?

amonThe last weeks and days have seen some erratic behaviour by Stack Exchange Inc, such as likely illegal changes to the content license and the firing of a community moderator for no good reason. It would be nice if those just were examples of ill judgement, but the disturbing alternative is that S...

I have to admit that I did not know about this. (It seems that it's about some development on the sites which I do not visit - at least not often.) But the post definitely got quite a lot attention.
It seems that this got also quite a lot of attention in chat: chat.stackexchange.com/search?q=333965

The discussions on Meta Stack Exchange suggest that some changes in the code of conduct are planned: How is the CoC about to change?

Didn't know about that post on Meta Stack Exchange. It's quite concerning to see such as change to the site.

Q: Firing mods and forced relicensing: sudden changes at SE

Toby MakThank you to Martin Sleziak for bringing this to my attention on the math meta chat. I would just like to inform the Math SE community of a recent change in behaviour from Stack Exchange (meta post). Basically, Stack Exchange announced without prior discussion that the content licence was being...

I'd guess and possibly might be suitable tags for that post.
@TobyMak I have edited your post to change the chat link so that it links to the today's transcript.
The reason for doing this is that if people follow the same link in a few days, they will get to this room, but they will see stuff completely unrelated to the post on meta.
A possible alternative could be to bookmark a conversation and link to that - in that way it would be possible to display content of the chatroom that spans several days (if needed).
Of course, if you prefer, feel free to revert my edit. (And a natural question is whether the link to chat is really needed - but possibly some users might come here to discuss this after they see the link.)

I suppose that there will be more posts around this in the next few weeks: An open letter on the state of curation and moderation.

Well... the network-wide goings-on have been... interesting.
