@user21820 I have just added MathJax to the title of this question: Prove that the sum of two compact sets in $\mathbb R^n$ is compact. A few minutes after that I no loner see it in the HNQ list.

Still, for a serious experiment we need a bigger sample :-)
But as I said when we discussed this, I tend to believe the documentation (i.e., the post on meta.SE).
