@Yuuki has communicating with them become more restricted this year?

@BradC Until Woe v Wade is repealed and the government just outright make it illegal
which if i recall, is the GOP Game Plan

@BradC in my catholic opinion they must vote against the death penalty but lol
I love to make "but the state can do whatever" exceptions to catholic morality

Liberals, NDP reach deal on sick leave, avoiding immediate election cbc.ca/news/politics/ndp-liberals-deal-sick-leave-1.5739658

Ultimately ideology defines all decisions the court makes

> "Today marks the first step in achieving the first ever, in the history of our country, federal paid sick leave for Canadian workers," he said

> "It's a first step toward our ultimate goal of insuring all Canadian workers have paid sick leave now and forever."
Excellent
> The Conservatives said flatly they won't support the throne speech, while the Bloc Québécois said it won't support it unless the government boosts health care transfers to the provinces with no strings attached.
For those unaware, the Conservatives are more concerned with "cutting costs" than helping Canadians. They opposed CERB, and have been attacking liberals for not "reigning in spending"
Note: That spending they're complaining about is offering social assistance during a global pandemic.
I'm so happy the liberals didn't win a majority. NDP are really taking this chance to actually help Canadians.
In fact I think a liberal-NDP government is how we got single payer healthcare to begin with?
Oh also, the new Conservative leader has covid lol cbc.ca/news/politics/…
The aptly name O'toole. He was just on some huge tour or something. Pictures a bunch of times without a mask, but sounds like it was just during the photo ops.

A Branson man has been charged with assault after an Ozark police officer broke his hand punching the man in the face several times. news-leader.com/story/news/crime/2020/09/16/…
This happening so soon after the Breonna Taylor officers getting Scott free is just such a perfect example of how corrupt the US legal system is.
I wonder if they'll decide to charge Breonna Taylor with assaulting the bullets that killed her.

@TimStone We're so fucked
The water crisis has been known for a while, and governments will do nothing to fix it because doing nothing allows the 1% to get even richer!

@TimStone Has it been there for a while? Because it might explain a few things.
