NEW: Michael Cohen's shell company, Essential Consultants, agrees to tear up the original 2016 agreement with Stormy Daniels, in which Cohen arranged to pay her $130,000 to stay silent about her alleged affair with Donald Trump. It’s also requesting Stormy pay back the $130,000
Ah, surprise twist in the homeless veteran and the couple that blew the money tale; GoFundMe is giving him the money as part of their campaign legitimacy "guarantee"
I mean they had blown it already, not sure if GoFundMe can try and claw it back from them having now paid out of pocket/what other recourse they might face
> In addition, Broidy allegedly told Bechard he had prostate cancer and that he was unwilling to have his prostate removed “because it would stop him from having sex, which he told her was more important to him than life itself.”
this is just wat
> They argued that purported facts about Broidy are protected by his constitutional right to privacy
hmmm, GOP likes that roe established a right to privacy and not the rest of it
@TimStone yeah this is also a big "why do you keep sticks of dynamite next to your candles?"
!!!!!
“The Trump administration held secret meetings with rebellious military officers from Venezuela over the last year to discuss their plans to overthrow President Nicolás Maduro”

> Trump warns he could cause the ‘ruination’ of Canada
This is definitely something you say to one of your closest allies and largest trading partner (a trade where you have a huge surplus). Yup, yup, yup!
The Globe and Mail: Trump threatens to destroy Canada's economy by imposing auto tariffs. https://www.theglobeandmail.com/business/article-trump-threatens-to-destroy-canadas-economy-by-imposing-auto-tariffs/
I wish I found that one first
It copied all nicely
In unrelated news:
CBC News: Air Canada fined $65K, blasted for 'rude' behaviour after family forced off flight. https://www.cbc.ca/news/business/air-canada-india-family-flight-1.4815089
> A consumer commission in India has ordered Air Canada and partnering airline, Jet Airways, to pay a Canadian family about $65,000 Cdn. The money is meant to compensate the family for the "mental agony and harassment" they suffered when Air Canada ordered them off a flight.
> According to Mittal, her 11-year-old daughter Teesha threw up due to a bad smell on the plane. Cabin crew said Teesha was unfit to travel and ordered the family to leave, stranding them at the airport. Mittal's son Rivansh was just three at the time.
> The Punjab State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission — which functions like a court — was scathing in its ruling. The family was "forcibly de-boarded from the aircraft on flimsy grounds" and left at the airport with no offer of food, water or even access to a phone, said the commission in a written decision.
Consumer protections need to be far stronger than they are.
This practice of overbooking flights and offering measly compensation when you get bumped needs to stop. Airlines wouldn't do it if it wasn't profitable.
I talked to @BuzzFeedNews about the “school” I was sent to when I was 17 and the horrific treatment they’re still allowed to practice today. This is a huge contributing factor to my PTSD and I’m glad they were willing to cover this story of institutional abuse. https://twitter.com/buzzfeednews/status/1038419449563545600
I'm glad that they were able to share their stories, even though I suspect the practice will continue on religious exception grounds anything that can be done to dissuade people from putting their kids through that helps :/

José Eduardo Dos Santos 4 decades of absolute power has ended. During his farewell speech he admitted for the first time that he made mistakes. But he did not say what were his mistakes. A new era for Angola and MPLA begins today. What do you expect to see from now on?
"No question that the crisis of sexual abuse by priests in the USA is directly related to homosexuality," Archbishop of Military Services Timothy Broglio wrote. "[Ninety percent] of those abused were boys aged 12 and over. That is no longer pedophilia." http://bit.ly/2wSptCV
