Relatedly did you see that one amazon ad
"working in retirement by choice click here to work at a fulfillment center"

Yeaaaah

oof "fulfillment center" is a fun set of words from a "work is inherently fulfilling which is why capitalism is good"
That'll be fun for the next iteration of "work in a fulfillment center we pay well relative to other jobs* *conditions apply must be willing and able to do everything the algorithm tells you to as fast as possible"

@Memor-X I believe y’all misspelled police

@Memor-X There is no way he can actually be this stupid...

@GodEmperorDune apparently someone was not a fan of being filmed
Which in the state of Virginia wherein masking is a felony that seems reasonable actually
But yeah the main belligerent at hand was the police keeping mourners off the site
Plus an instigator cameraman who shouted "weapon" which caused the police to attack 4-5
Idk if he was that guy my assumption was he was some fash with a phone
But the hill and all these other hand wringers got their "someone swatted at a camera" headline in which is fun
places finger on ear we have been informed this is an "again, for the second year in a row" situation for Jake Tapper in particular

Stephen Miller's own uncle apparently has written an article condemning his behaviour?
lmao, and Goodlatte's son has given a maximum contribution to the Democrat running for his open seat?
Starting the week off with some real heavy family shit here, whew

#Breaking: @OMAROSA provides @NBCNews with this exclusive excerpt of a recording of a phone call that she says she received from President Trump the day after White House Chief of Staff John Kelly fired her. https://t.co/OJe47RdcDC
😂
Omarosa's still bad but she's also now simultaneously good because that's hilarious af

Good goat!

1:20 PM
When ⁦@katierogers⁩ and I wrote that someone was secretly taping Trump, it was not Omarosa. Raises possibility that still others are doing same within the White House. https://nyti.ms/2KI6uyZ?smid=nytcore-ios-share

NEWS: A Trump-appointed judge has upheld the validity of the Mueller investigation, rejecting a bid by lawyers for the accused Russian-troll company to end the probe. Background on the case here: https://www.politico.com/story/2018/08/03/russian-company-mueller-probe-be-brave-761787
Oh boy that's gonna put his head through a spin
"DEEP STATE DEMOCRAT JUDGE WHO I APPOI..I APPOINTED? Am I the deep state?"

1:31 PM
@TimStone would be interesting if we end up having a full set of tapes for all of the stupid stuff happening inside the White House.

I don't know if my brain could handle that

Wacky Omarosa, who got fired 3 times on the Apprentice, now got fired for the last time. She never made it, never will. She begged me for a job, tears in her eyes, I said Ok. People in the White House hated her. She was vicious, but not smart. I would rarely see her but heard....
He's not reacting well at all to that story

If he legitimately didn't know she had been fired beforehand I can't see Kelly surviving this since the tape makes Trump look pretty uninformed

@TimStone or a liar

Yeah I feel like he'd care less about it if that's the case, he'll just say he didn't want her "getting emotional" or some nonsense

1:42 PM
@TimStone or he cares more now that he's been recorded

@TimStone wow my veins

2:04 PM
@MadScientist second tweet is a markedly different tone

2:27 PM
@Ash There are 81 home baseball games per year, baseball plays 162 games a year, which is double professional hockey and probably a higher ratio for juniors.

@puzzlepiece87 OHL teams (which I think is what @Ash is referring to) have a 68 game regular season, and play most of their games on weekends. For some teams, $45 a game would be a lot (Hamilton, for instance, rarely sells out their arena, despite closing off the upper bowl).

@TimStone rekt

@TimStone This Monsanto judgment is a good thing happening for bad reasons and should be overturned on appeal.
@MBraedley Awesome context add, thank you!

2:43 PM
@puzzlepiece87 Can you explain a bit more? I'm just curious what angle you're coming from on this.

@puzzlepiece87 pls no, I don't need another three weeks of Monsanto bombarding Reddit with promoted posts of "Roundup cleared of all charges of cancer!"

court affirms that round-up and the gmo-industrial-complex is good for farmers actually

@fredley Wow, I need to put uBlock Origin on my work computer because that site is literal cancer.

it's a .co.uk news site what do you want

2:46 PM
@Yuuki Sorry, I have uBlock Origin on my work computer, so I can't tell if something is literally cancer

I swear, like five overlays popped up on that site.

If you think the site is cancer, wait 'til you read the article!
Try this (put outline.com/ before any url)

@Ash (I'm bitter) The catch is that it's a cynical lie from a cynical liar.
@GodEmperorDune @TrentHawkins Exactly like you said, and an All Lives Matter vibe to it.

@fredley it removed so much clutter it didn't even show the page

@GodEmperorDune calu.edu

2:50 PM
@Ash And gathering the associated dollars or internet points.

@KevinvanderVelden rekt

@fredley too many spaniards in Spain?

Essentially yes
Also some other things that are valid complaints

Ah whew everyone will be glad to know that despite everyone there saying it's the case, Secretary Zinke assures us climate change has nothing to do with the recent wildfires
FBI agent Peter Strzok fired over anti-Trump texts ⁦@mattzap⁩ https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/national-security/fbi-agent-peter-strzok-fired-over-anti-trump-texts/2018/08/13/be98f84c-8e8b-11e8-b769-e3fff17f0689_story.html
Hmm, outside of the normal chain it seems too

3:13 PM
@GodEmperorDune Yup

@Yuuki y tho

@TimStone Wow. Okay, so FBI agents are not allowed to have personal opinions

@TimStone That would be funnier if it had so far in literally all of the other cases :( Sessions, etc.

@TimStone :/
fired just like the new york office agents who leaked all kinds of stuff to guliani, right? oh wait

@MBraedley Of course! There was apparently very little scientific evidence presented to back up the plaintiff's case. From what I read, the reward was largely done due to the plaintiff being a sympathetic figure and not due to any substantial evidence demonstrating that the specific chemical composition of RoundUp causes cancer. The reason why I say it is a good thing is because Monsanto has a history of being highly litigious in situations that I perceive as being questionable.
I'm super open to different perspectives on the case or Monsanto the company - I would definitely characterize myself as lightly informed about both, rather than somewhat informed or very informed.

3:21 PM
Several current and former White House/Trump campaign staffers have told me that they are concerned that Omarosa used a pen that has the capability of capturing audio to surreptitiously record meetings.
i guess better than a phone
@puzzlepiece87 monsanto have been jerks for a very long time, i agree with your position

@GodEmperorDune This sort of spy shit is at least 50 years old, if not more. How is the White House not resistant to audio-recording pens?

@SaintWacko Not defending the decision, I'm adding additional context: FBI agents literally do, as part of their employment agreements, sign contracts saying they will not take positions that appear to favor political parties or candidates on social media.

@fredley remember that trump hired only the best people

@fredley The system didn't anticipate the President themselves having a close knit group of grifters
lol apparently Model 3 bumpers just randomly come off if they hit water?

@TimStone this was a feature designed for use with the pedo sub

3:30 PM
@puzzlepiece87 That's reasonable, but do text messages count as social media?

SCOOP: DHS to train high schoolers in "proper bleeding control techniques" in preparation for "mass casualty events," federal docs I found show. “Similar to how students learn health education and driver’s ed, they must learn proper bleeding control." https://tytnetwork.com/2018/08/13/dhs-to-train-high-school-kids-for-mass-casualty-events/

@TimStone ummmmmm wat

I mean it's a good skill to have, we're looking to get some first aid training done internally
(we're literally starting with the BSA first aid merit badge handbook lmao (but hopefully ending with "I am a certified Emergency First Responder Trainer teaching Emergency First Response at cost only"))
but like yeah that's grim

@SaintWacko Oooops, you are completely right and I am dumb. In my brain those were Twitter posts. I'm dumb I'm dumb.
@SaintWacko They absolutely do not.

@GodEmperorDune You might have thought the answer was to make guns harder to access and raise people to not be sociopaths but you would have been wrong!

3:35 PM
I'd be interested to see if we can lift DHS's materials on mass-casualty grade first aid

@GodEmperorDune The best way to prevent mass shooting casualties is to learn how to not die from being shot.
Being shot in America is just a part of growing up.

@Yuuki technically once you are shot you are a casualty, even if you don't die so...

@GodEmperorDune Following historical guidelines on how to compile disaster statistics? In 2018?
You're cute.

@Yuuki nah i mean that an injury is a casualty too

JUST IN: State Attorney decides to charge Michael Drejka with manslaughter in Florida "stand your ground" case.
This is the parking lot shooter that the sheriff was like "WELP stand your ground" and everyone was like "That's not even how it works even if it is still unreasonable"

3:47 PM
@GodEmperorDune I think @Yuuki 's joke is, for example, related to casualty minimization in Puerto Rico.

The WH has exempted comms director Bill Shine from federal ethics rules so that he can take meetings with Fox News, his former employer https://www.thedailybeast.com/white-house-its-in-public-interest-for-staff-to-skirt-ethics-rules-to-meet-with-fox-news?ref=wrap

@puzzlepiece87 ah, whoosh
@TimStone the best people
these are our politicians

lol, that's great, I appreciate that everything is stupid as hell now
Balderson likely would have lost if not for Kasich, but reality doesn't exist now so

4:03 PM
I can't wait for the faceoff between john kasich and donald trump in 2020

@TimStone This is why you should slap people who say "rules are made to be broken".

4:19 PM
Just fired Agent Strzok, formerly of the FBI, was in charge of the Crooked Hillary Clinton sham investigation. It was a total fraud on the American public and should be properly redone!
tfw you forget a very important hyphen, lol

lol
he is very mad online today

Yeah, the Omarosa NDA tweet is just icing on the cake

@TimStone would be interesting if they try to enforce it, as NDAs for government employees don't sound like they should be legal

Supposedly no one was made to sign one, we were told! And she didn't sign the one they tried to get her to on leaving, according to her, so 🤷
Ahahahahaha the Tesla buyout funder is the Saudis, fantastic

4:54 PM
He's probably actually in trouble though, they take crimes against the rich pretty seriously

@TimStone yay
@Unionhawk if they pull funding, they're pedos tho

@GodEmperorDune No, "they" here is there are 2 shareholder suits about him posting and inflating value artificially

oh lol

arrested for posting

user15026
5:07 PM
@MBraedley yep, that's what I was referring to, my price is a rough estimate, and it's for 2 people (so two sets of season tickets for 1500 bucks), sorry I wasn't clearer.

5:34 PM
That’s not quite right. Investigators found that *exactly* what the kids said was happening,*is* happening. But they decided that *it isn’t actually abuse* to strap children to chairs with bags on their heads. Not even making this up. https://twitter.com/AP/status/1029048062038159362

6:01 PM
How is Trump's approval rating back over 40%? I stopped watching it when it stopped going down but this is so disheartening.

@Staravia Yup since February.
@Staravia The only things that have impacted it the entire time are Comey's firing and Obamacare repeal.

I somehow got @Strixavia and @Wipqozn confused so I was like "wait is that person a mod from another site?"
nope

Every time I look into these numbers I get depressed anew.
And disgusted.

@Staravia because he's getting ever closer to building that wall
Also I think folks think his trade war is helping instead of hurting
Basically one new factory opens while a bunch others close and it's a Victory

@Wipqozn The dogs still love the whistle even when it's played weekly, basically.

6:31 PM
@Wipqozn Also apparently he's attacking Harley Davidson now?

6:47 PM
@Staravia I mean, it's still below every president in the last 70ish years other than Carter and Truman

@SaintWacko Any appreciable percentage is a travesty.

UPDATE: Johnson County's Ronnie Metsker now says only unaffiliated voters who filled out card to declare party will have votes counted https://www.kansascity.com/news/politics-government/election/article216489915.html #ksleg #ksgov

7:08 PM
@TimStone and i thought SE had drama

lol this is going to get much more stupid before it's done I guarantee it

speaking of stupid things
Trump, again, on the F-35 he may or may not think is actually invisible: "You know that's stealth. I talked to a couple of pilots...they said, 'They're hard to beat because you can't see them.' It's always hard to beat the enemy when you can't see it."

Corey Stewart out on Twitter trying to claim Tim Kaine is antifa now, lmfao
Omarosa secretly recorded Jared and Ivanka, too, she is telling friends and associates. W @anniekarni - https://www.politico.com/story/2018/08/13/omarosa-jared-ivanka-tapes-775712
Fantastic

@TimStone I mean it's pretty weird for Tim to get that red ANTIFA forehead tattoo

When you gotta go hard
UPDATE: Police: pilot killed in Utah County crashed aircraft into his own home after arrest for domestic violence. His wife and a juvenile male were in the home at the time but escaped unharmed http://via.fox13now.com/NMJyX

7:21 PM
@TimStone wtf is this a comic book?
@Unionhawk oh were we not doing that anymore? frantically googles tattoo removal

@GodEmperorDune People are crazy
Like this guy
Former Gateway Pundit White House correspondent reacts to his exit from the site by naming lobsters after his enemies, boiling them alive https://www.thedailybeast.com/gateway-pundit-dumps-lucian-wintrich-after-he-went-on-white-nationalist-podcast/

@TimStone wuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut
own the libs by wasting expensive food items

I mean honestly the most shocking thing is that the Gateway Pundit booted him for hopping on the white nationalist podcast
But yeah, sociopaths 🤷
Candidates who don't actually want to abolish ICE are now being hit by TV ads pointing out that, well, protesters want to abolish ICE, and some of those protesters may support the candidate. So by the transitive property...
Mainstreaming abolishing ICE to own the libs

@TimStone splitting hairs there gateway pundit

@GodEmperorDune so you're saying I shouldn't throw a live lobster at jordan peterson when he shows up in cincinnati?

7:30 PM
I think they need to be dropped from drones like a gift from the heavens, tbh

@Unionhawk but lobsters and jordan peterson is a MEME and transcends food

7:42 PM
@TimStone lol i didn't realize this was the guy who fell for the antifa supersoldiers thing
oh wow
lol
> For his part, Wintrich told The Daily Beast that he left Gateway Pundit to work on “two independent media projects” and emailed a YouTube link to the Lynyrd Skynyrd song “Free Bird.” Hoft didn’t respond to a request for comment.
so which one of the projects is watching free bird on youtube? or is he doing a time machine to make that song back in the 70s?

I wish I could train Google to respond to something other than "Okay Google"
I'm thinking either "Okay @Strixvaria" (cc @Staravia) or "God damn it @Yuuki"

@Wipqozn That was one of my favorite things about having a Motorola phone
I have no idea why Google hasn't implemented that, it's clearly possible

I also posted that in the wrong room

The other issue is that with Google wanting to have all these in-home devices, it's incredibly stupid to have them all respond to the same phrase
Oh, huh
Yeah you did
You should move it

regular chat? in my TIF? it's more likely than you think
Alex Jones says his allies in the fight against the globalists are Tucker Carlson, Laura Ingraham, and Twitter’s Jack Dorsey http://mm4a.org/ZvM
congrats @jack

8:10 PM
@SaintWacko nah I'm too lazy
It would be easier to just give @GodEmperorDune ownership of both rooms and have him do it, but even that's too much work

@Wipqozn so close to deownering powerz

@GodEmperorDune yes lol

@TimStone also i'm kinda disappointed that he only cooked 2 lobsters
surely he has many more enemies than that

user15026
8:58 PM
Today I had tea with someone from the local Conservative party, and we had honest conversations about everything from her views on the queer community to her fiscal perspective to her views on what the rest of her party is currently doing in my province

@Ash Teeeeaaaaaa
Also that's great!

user15026
We challenged each other, it was great, I still won't ever vote PC, but I liked that she let me chat with her and challenge her and meet her honestly

user15026
And she made it clear she wants to hear from more people like me, so she can work to broaden her views to support all of us, and I respect her for that

user15026
It reminded me that I need to also respect the individual the way I want to be seen and respected - there is still room for that.

user15026
I can like this woman and still want to toss DOUG Ford out on his ear.

user15026
9:02 PM
So I feel good about opening her eyes to some stuff she never considered because no one ever challenged her.

user15026
9:16 PM
I know that's not news, but I felt like it was news adjacent enough, apologies if people disagree (and if they do I will mod hammer my messages)

user15026
(whee, mobile chat)

I think that's in scope for TIF and even if it's not I'm glad it happened

user15026
I am super glad I had enough bravery spoons left for it.

user15026
(and she actually acknowledged and thanked me for spending the bravery spoons. Not in those words, but still.)

9:39 PM
@Ash My headcanon is that she used "courage forks" instead.

user15026
Hahaha no but that's awesome

9:52 PM
@GodEmperorDune You gotta pick your battles these days on account of the lobster debt

@TimStone literally lobster wars

lol holy hell Cillizza being fooled by a Strzok account literally called @notpeterstrzok, some of our media folks…they're…they're not good

@TimStone Cillizza tho
i'm sure he'll write up some crap about buttery males and be back on top again

Unfortunately. Meanwhile Trump is at another event claiming he considered running for NY Governor against Cuomo but went for President instead and NY got grazed by that bullet

whew child

10:00 PM
btw real Strzok seems to have a GoFundMe and again, what the hell?

love the centrist grift

I don't think he was "omg biased" but like dude you used FBI phones to conduct an affair, don't do that next time?

tbh if i was famous for doing some anti trump thing i'd probably do a gofundme to cash in during my 15 minutes

I mean that's true it's just bad we're (generally) all here for it, he's up five figures or some nonsense

at least it's not the get kylie jenner to a billion

10:06 PM
speaking of gofundme, the medical category has grown to something like 1/3 of all gofundme stuff
making gofundme a major payor in our hell-system

:/
m4a too expensive, wat do

lol he's mad at those darn Wing Bangers again
"They kill so many birds," says @POTUS of windmills.

he's hated windmills ever since they were going to go in the waters off the coast of his golf courses

@GodEmperorDune it's simple, we uh, kill the batman
or something

@Unionhawk licks knife to smooth hair

10:11 PM
We are currently working to verify reports that Bruce Wayne is not actually real and does not actually have lots of money

> Overheard in the White House: "They got me," Trump said of the windmills. "That f--king giant fan boomed me." Trump added, "They kill so many birds," repeating it four times. He then said he wanted to add windmills to the list of the things he rants about during election season.

10:27 PM
Oh no. oh no no no. No no no no no no no no no no noooooooooooo https://www.politico.com/story/2018/08/13/house-democrats-alt-right-troll-johnson-776156

When Trump first made this claim about coal being indestructible, Jeremy Richardson, senior energy analyst at the Union of Concerned Scientists, said to me, "He does know that we burn it, right? I mean, that's what we do with it." https://twitter.com/ddale8/status/1029126992422154241
@TimStone oh no baby, wut is u doing.avi

@TimStone Okay but instead of doing that how about we just throw Chuckles in the well?

@TimStone what is bad here?

Giving Charles Johnson a platform is quite dumb because the Democrats are not smart enough to avoid getting owned by him

So now getting someone to testify about crimes is "giving them a platform"?

10:35 PM
The only possible outcome at the moment is everyone shrugging and going "Who the hell cares?", so pretty much yeah

10:51 PM
Plus there's always the chance he poops on the House floor and no one wants that

oh wait he's that guy?
I need a spreadsheet to keep track of these important things

@TimStone wait is there a story behind this?

@TimStone wuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut

But anyway yeah whatever they think they're after there's almost 100% surely a better way to get at it than anything involving Chuckles

North Dakota is putting recreational marijuana on the November ballot

11:35 PM
@TimStone oh man the card is so poorly done

Like his parking

huen tzu

@TimStone My word. I'm going to assume this doesn't happen very often?

Not really. It's complicated because on the one hand the Republicans could attempt to pack the court but on the other hand at least two of the people definitely did something bad and should have been kicked out so

11:50 PM
@GodEmperorDune or maybe he's thinking about Superman Crushing Coal into Diamond and Diamond is Indestructible

@Memor-X isn’t that the name of that right wing youtuber duo?

lol
I still can't believe they had Diamond and Silk on the House floor either

Shadowbanz are srs bsns

@GodEmperorDune maybe
(shit he's on to me. can't reveal i'm QAnon yet)

@Memor-X nah @TimStone got it
