oof "fulfillment center" is a fun set of words from a "work is inherently fulfilling which is why capitalism is good"
That'll be fun for the next iteration of "work in a fulfillment center we pay well relative to other jobs* *conditions apply must be willing and able to do everything the algorithm tells you to as fast as possible"
> another one bites the dust [insert rest of song]
but it looks like the take down wasn't just following a trend
> The site reported that Infowars had less than a dozen videos on the platform as of Wednesday, but that more than 50 videos were posted to the site on the following days.
#Breaking: @OMAROSA provides @NBCNews with this exclusive excerpt of a recording of a phone call that she says she received from President Trump the day after White House Chief of Staff John Kelly fired her. https://t.co/OJe47RdcDC
When @katierogers and I wrote that someone was secretly taping Trump, it was not Omarosa. Raises possibility that still others are doing same within the White House. https://nyti.ms/2KI6uyZ?smid=nytcore-ios-share
NEWS: A Trump-appointed judge has upheld the validity of the Mueller investigation, rejecting a bid by lawyers for the accused Russian-troll company to end the probe.
Background on the case here: https://www.politico.com/story/2018/08/03/russian-company-mueller-probe-be-brave-761787
Wacky Omarosa, who got fired 3 times on the Apprentice, now got fired for the last time. She never made it, never will. She begged me for a job, tears in her eyes, I said Ok. People in the White House hated her. She was vicious, but not smart. I would rarely see her but heard....
@Ash There are 81 home baseball games per year, baseball plays 162 games a year, which is double professional hockey and probably a higher ratio for juniors.
@puzzlepiece87 OHL teams (which I think is what @Ash is referring to) have a 68 game regular season, and play most of their games on weekends. For some teams, $45 a game would be a lot (Hamilton, for instance, rarely sells out their arena, despite closing off the upper bowl).
@puzzlepiece87 pls no, I don't need another three weeks of Monsanto bombarding Reddit with promoted posts of "Roundup cleared of all charges of cancer!"
Ah whew everyone will be glad to know that despite everyone there saying it's the case, Secretary Zinke assures us climate change has nothing to do with the recent wildfires
FBI agent Peter Strzok fired over anti-Trump texts @mattzap https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/national-security/fbi-agent-peter-strzok-fired-over-anti-trump-texts/2018/08/13/be98f84c-8e8b-11e8-b769-e3fff17f0689_story.html
@MBraedley Of course! There was apparently very little scientific evidence presented to back up the plaintiff's case. From what I read, the reward was largely done due to the plaintiff being a sympathetic figure and not due to any substantial evidence demonstrating that the specific chemical composition of RoundUp causes cancer. The reason why I say it is a good thing is because Monsanto has a history of being highly litigious in situations that I perceive as being questionable.
I'm super open to different perspectives on the case or Monsanto the company - I would definitely characterize myself as lightly informed about both, rather than somewhat informed or very informed.
Several current and former White House/Trump campaign staffers have told me that they are concerned that Omarosa used a pen that has the capability of capturing audio to surreptitiously record meetings.
@SaintWacko Not defending the decision, I'm adding additional context: FBI agents literally do, as part of their employment agreements, sign contracts saying they will not take positions that appear to favor political parties or candidates on social media.
SCOOP: DHS to train high schoolers in "proper bleeding control techniques" in preparation for "mass casualty events," federal docs I found show.
“Similar to how students learn health education and driver’s ed, they must learn proper bleeding control."
https://tytnetwork.com/2018/08/13/dhs-to-train-high-school-kids-for-mass-casualty-events/
I mean it's a good skill to have, we're looking to get some first aid training done internally
(we're literally starting with the BSA first aid merit badge handbook lmao (but hopefully ending with "I am a certified Emergency First Responder Trainer teaching Emergency First Response at cost only"))
@GodEmperorDune You might have thought the answer was to make guns harder to access and raise people to not be sociopaths but you would have been wrong!
This is the parking lot shooter that the sheriff was like "WELP stand your ground" and everyone was like "That's not even how it works even if it is still unreasonable"
The WH has exempted comms director Bill Shine from federal ethics rules so that he can take meetings with Fox News, his former employer https://www.thedailybeast.com/white-house-its-in-public-interest-for-staff-to-skirt-ethics-rules-to-meet-with-fox-news?ref=wrap
Just fired Agent Strzok, formerly of the FBI, was in charge of the Crooked Hillary Clinton sham investigation. It was a total fraud on the American public and should be properly redone!
@MBraedley yep, that's what I was referring to, my price is a rough estimate, and it's for 2 people (so two sets of season tickets for 1500 bucks), sorry I wasn't clearer.
That’s not quite right. Investigators found that *exactly* what the kids said was happening,*is* happening. But they decided that *it isn’t actually abuse* to strap children to chairs with bags on their heads.
Not even making this up. https://twitter.com/AP/status/1029048062038159362
UPDATE: Johnson County's Ronnie Metsker now says only unaffiliated voters who filled out card to declare party will have votes counted https://www.kansascity.com/news/politics-government/election/article216489915.html #ksleg #ksgov
Trump, again, on the F-35 he may or may not think is actually invisible: "You know that's stealth. I talked to a couple of pilots...they said, 'They're hard to beat because you can't see them.' It's always hard to beat the enemy when you can't see it."
Corey Stewart out on Twitter trying to claim Tim Kaine is antifa now, lmfao
Omarosa secretly recorded Jared and Ivanka, too, she is telling friends and associates. W @anniekarni - https://www.politico.com/story/2018/08/13/omarosa-jared-ivanka-tapes-775712
UPDATE: Police: pilot killed in Utah County crashed aircraft into his own home after arrest for domestic violence. His wife and a juvenile male were in the home at the time but escaped unharmed http://via.fox13now.com/NMJyX
Former Gateway Pundit White House correspondent reacts to his exit from the site by naming lobsters after his enemies, boiling them alive https://www.thedailybeast.com/gateway-pundit-dumps-lucian-wintrich-after-he-went-on-white-nationalist-podcast/
I mean honestly the most shocking thing is that the Gateway Pundit booted him for hopping on the white nationalist podcast
But yeah, sociopaths 🤷
Candidates who don't actually want to abolish ICE are now being hit by TV ads pointing out that, well, protesters want to abolish ICE, and some of those protesters may support the candidate. So by the transitive property...
@TimStone lol i didn't realize this was the guy who fell for the antifa supersoldiers thing
oh wow
lol
> For his part, Wintrich told The Daily Beast that he left Gateway Pundit to work on “two independent media projects” and emailed a YouTube link to the Lynyrd Skynyrd song “Free Bird.” Hoft didn’t respond to a request for comment.
so which one of the projects is watching free bird on youtube? or is he doing a time machine to make that song back in the 70s?
@TimStone also i'm kinda disappointed that he only cooked 2 lobsters
surely he has many more enemies than that

Today I had tea with someone from the local Conservative party, and we had honest conversations about everything from her views on the queer community to her fiscal perspective to her views on what the rest of her party is currently doing in my province
We challenged each other, it was great, I still won't ever vote PC, but I liked that she let me chat with her and challenge her and meet her honestly
user15026
And she made it clear she wants to hear from more people like me, so she can work to broaden her views to support all of us, and I respect her for that
user15026
It reminded me that I need to also respect the individual the way I want to be seen and respected - there is still room for that.
user15026
I can like this woman and still want to toss DOUG Ford out on his ear.

So I feel good about opening her eyes to some stuff she never considered because no one ever challenged her.
Unfortunately. Meanwhile Trump is at another event claiming he considered running for NY Governor against Cuomo but went for President instead and NY got grazed by that bullet
> Overheard in the White House: "They got me," Trump said of the windmills. "That f--king giant fan boomed me." Trump added, "They kill so many birds," repeating it four times. He then said he wanted to add windmills to the list of the things he rants about during election season.
Oh no. oh no no no.
No no no no no no no no no no noooooooooooo https://www.politico.com/story/2018/08/13/house-democrats-alt-right-troll-johnson-776156
When Trump first made this claim about coal being indestructible, Jeremy Richardson, senior energy analyst at the Union of Concerned Scientists, said to me, "He does know that we burn it, right? I mean, that's what we do with it." https://twitter.com/ddale8/status/1029126992422154241
Not really. It's complicated because on the one hand the Republicans could attempt to pack the court but on the other hand at least two of the people definitely did something bad and should have been kicked out so
