National Post: Trump praises Kim Jong Un's authoritarian rule, says 'I want my people to do the same'. http://nationalpost.com/news/world/trump-praises-kim-jong-uns-authoritarian-rule-says-i-want-my-people-to-do-the-same
> He’s the head of a country, and I mean he’s the strong head,” Trump told Fox News Channel. “Don’t let anyone think anything different. He speaks and his people sit up at attention. I want my people to do the same.”
I'm not surprised at all, we basically already knew this, but still.. What even the fuck
The Globe and Mail: U.S. poised to quit United Nation’s human-rights council over Israel, diplomats say. https://www.theglobeandmail.com/world/article-us-poised-to-quit-united-nations-human-rights-council-over-israel/
I honestly don't know what I want my initial pitch to be
Because we essentially have two separate but related asks
"are you or anyone you know on Medicaid because you're in danger of losing your coverage to paperwork hell", and "we want to make healthcare free for everyone does that sound like something you want too"
@Wipqozn this is where targeting neighborhoods comes in for the most part
And the universal part of it
"everyone gets the thing, and we get rich assholes like Elon and probably Bevin to pay for it"
Like this shit generally plays pretty well
There are good doors and bad doors but

@GodEmperorDune I saw a really good chart on twitter explaining why plastic straws are the most useful for disabled people but of course I can't find it nowwwwww
user15026
(A lot of it is positionability - metal straws can't be easily changed, neither can glass, paper ones (afaik) don't have the bend)
user15026
I fooooound it

@buff12ca @DruhFarrell You are part of the problem. I am stocking up plastic straws. 🥤🥤 #yyc
Had a couple good conversations, and I think we achieved our goal of trying to make what Matt Bevin and the rest of the assholes in Frankfort are trying to do, and how to navigate it more transparent
Meanwhile, in somehow even more horrifying news than "matt bevin is trying to get people off Medicaid through paperwork hell":
AMC says they won't air Chris Hardwick's show as they "assess" his ex-girlfriend's abuse claims https://www.buzzfeed.com/davidmack/amc-chris-hardwick-talking-show-chloe-dykstra-girlfriend?utm_term=4ldqpgc&bftwnews#4ldqpgc
@GodEmperorDune Capital One 360 is their online-only banking thing
@GodEmperorDune Something along the lines of the JG Wentworth dude "It's my money and I need it now!" (except I don't and am not transferring any money but who are they to put a limit on it)
again i don't know capital one's backend, but usally there are risk profiles and big data and such, and people putting money into tax accounts then paying to IRS quarterly or w/e is a normal activity and doesn't get flagged
This reminds me of the beforetimes where Sarah Jeong's bank account became compromised and the only solution BofA had was to set the balance to like -999,999 or something absurd like that
