I'm sorry Jabobin, but this is a weird sentence
> At-will employment, a fixture of American law, is a godsend for employers and an albatross for employees

So I was in church ringing handbells this morning, and the minister shared a story about how Christians should act. A couple of the things she said was that Christians should not only be accepting of diversity, but embracing it, be inclusive, and that any form of discrimination is antithetical to being a Christian. And I was just thinking "these are all things that the Dems stand for, but not the Republicans."

Many Christians are Democrats. The difference depends a lot on what parts of Christianity they concentrate on and how they interpret them

Many fixate on abortion issues

Personally, I can understand that. Given their beliefs, I can understand that such a thing can seem abominable, and that they would choose it as the most important principle to vote on

But you look at the Masterpiece Bakery case, and I would say the owner wasn't being very Christian. You can still object to same sex marriage, but, IMHO, being accommodating of those who don't necessarily agree with you is the Christian way.

5:55 PM
This is what I mean, that the "Christian way" can change a lot under interpretation

i feel bad for our country. But this is tremendous content.

9:44 PM
@Unionhawk but does that mean they're going to go back? or just "we fucked u0p but we're keeping the fuckup"

10:19 PM
@Memor-X Unlikely
We'll see

11:00 PM
@Unionhawk what is the "tremendous content", since that tweet appears to have no context?

11:53 PM
The text reads: “Please refrain from clapping. We will review the ASL sign for applause at the beginning of the meeting.” I’m SO proud of my chapter (@dc_dsa) for making this change. It’s a HUGE improvement for deaf & autistic folks who are super sensitive to sudden loud noises
Hell yes
