@Rickross Namsakar!
Happy bless-full Durga Ashtami.
We've recited today Devi Atharvashirsha, Argala Stora, Kilaka, Siddha Kunjika - most of them are from Yamala/Tantra.
No that is not true.. read the full verse u have quoted... Nastika means who does not believe in god as well as in scriptures... Veda Nindaka is different One can be Veda Nindaka but can still believe in god.. See Manu 4.163 which states - NAstikayam vedanindAm cha devatAnAm cha kutsanam | .. So here separately Nastiktayam (atheism) and Veda Ninda are criticized, that means both are not the same. @Pandya — Rickross 23 mins ago
I've not read Manusmriti and hence might be missing something. Can you make it more clear @Rickross
@Rickross Yes, I've also checked it in the scanned book of Gayatri Pariwar.
Have you discussed with Swift Pushkar? I think he may also help you.

@Pandya Ok that's good ..
@Pandya What I meant was Veda Nindaka (one who criticizes Veda) is not eqaul to Nastika like u hv mentioned. They are mentioned separately. You hv to chk the full verse along with the translation to understand. Even in 4.163 I hv quoted, they are mentioned separately. The translation of that verse is - Let him avoid Nastikayam (atheism), Vedaninda (censuring the Vedas) and also hatred towards gods.
So, Nastikyam (or atheism) and Veda Ninda (censuring the Vedas) are separately mentioned in Manu Smriti. So they are not the same. People who read scriptures in English can hv such misconceptions. @Pandya
This misconception is widespread in this site. Another one is "Every scripture is either Sruti or Smriti".

@Rickross Hmm. The proper translation is Those who condem Shruti and Smriti with sophistry are Nastika, (they are) Veda Nindaka.
Am I right?
