I've read a number of comments about the "grumpiness" of various persons, usually directed at themselves. I don't know why, but it certainly has been my experience that statisticians/data scientists are, as a group, quite grumpy. At my previous job, the data science organization had a reputation for being cynical, grumpy and alien.

And I say this as someone who is, himself, quite grumpy.
