Systematic Theology is not a hermeneutic principles, it is the *product* of hermeneutic principles. And I do see the dangers of *sola scriptura* - Which is why, like most good Weslyans, I believe in *prima scriptura* - again why academic pursuits in the study of scripture are important other knowledge (reason) is important in the interpretation of scripture, just as Wesly and Outler taught.
