Why would my shortcode callback receive a string and not an array for the attributes?
Ahh, nvermind.
If there are no attributes passed to the callback, apparently it's interpreted as a string and not an array.

I'm worried we'll end up with a mix of gutenberg and block-editor tags. Core seems to be leaning to Block Editor but the docs don't reflect that.
