@toscho at which point? in your example as is fails to lookup test() method, but only because it gets confused by @return object T5_Spam_Block type hint (maybe Eclipse as well?)

@Rarst It doesn’t even auto-complete get_instance().
ignore that old comment :)

PhpStorm does, and test() if I remove PHPDoc from get_instance()

nice

what I do have trouble with in PhpStorm currently is Pimple style containers, $container['database']->query(). can't autocomplete or hint it without first assigning $container['database'] to intermediary variable :\

that doesn’t work in Eclipse too.

pretty much nowhere as far as I know :) PhpStorm has added some crazy support for factories recently (you have to write a map in some kind of meta-PHP), but not this form of it yet

A map in meta-PHP? What the... wat?

6:05 AM
better than nothing :)

Submitted a pull request to EasyDigitalDownloads - Travis CI jumps in automatically to check the request. W-O-W ... will so have to use this in the future.

what's included in your PR? ...entire rewrite? :)

Rewrite of packaged template files mess.
Mixed tabs/spaces, ... [insert every other beginner mistake] ... no line length limit.
Sad thing: The PHPUnit Test Suite for EDD itself is a failed build
When looking at the highlighted block on the running test then I see missing credentials ... guess that's it.

lots of changes wow

All the changes are cosmetic, but took me about an hour to rework them all. Was impossible to even read that mess.

yeah im just reading it now and I have a headache... I never looked at those templ files before

Great idea! Test HTML in Unittest... facepalm. A single space, a changed translation string, etc. ... everything would let this fail.
@userabuser I still have problems understanding which template triggers when and where. For e.g. single-download.php won't fall back to single.php etc.

this is madness, you shouldn't have so much logic bundled with your template views, decouple, decouple, decouple bro! I can't imagine how hard this would be to rewrite...

My opinion on the EDD architecture: nonono.

@kaiser yeah, I have to say I am with you on this...

commented on the test suite insanity
Another thing I really don't understand in EDD core: Why the heck ob_cache them all? Poor mans caching... leave that to plugins.

No idea... never use ob_* functions, unless I am forced to do so (no other solutions available).

They make it just hard to debug stuff.

bah everytime i search for a domain and don't register it, seems like few days later someone comes along at does, fking sniper thieves these damn registrars are...

hehe
what was it this time?

SE network updates: Edit timestamp of posts is now wholly clickable, including the \"Edited\" word itself.

just a domain for a wp blog... so I had to grab the .net alternative.
man... burned again.

which one?

7:22 AM
theloowp.com
Three days after initial search, boom, registered. I had this domain on ice in my mind for about a year, knowing it was not registered, soon as I search, damn sniped.

loowp?

yeah loowp..

@anu bit vague but good tutorial - thanks

anu
Vague? How is it vague?

Advantages | code | there're environment files | code | end
A bit more explanation on the ruby/cap file would be nice. That's the tough part: Getting around what's what in there.

Is it break pagination with query_post() day again?

they should deprecate the thing already :\ Nacin was going to ponder that long time ago

4:27 PM
problem is that the sort of user who uses it would never see the deprecation notice, they probably arent aware that constants can go in wp-config.php

don't stomp on my dreams

besides we'd just have a WP_Query problem then as people misuse that class the same way
what we need, is for noobs to exercise basic common sense e.g. "if you tell it to display 5 posts per page, how does it know which page you're on?"

> The mod_disk_cache module has been renamed to mod_cache_disk.
that's like not confusing at all :)
anyone used mod_ruid2 ?
