I like the idea too, itll be interesting to see if it gains traction.

so, this is a room for asking for questions to be reopened, instead of going to Meta about it?
seems like it's going to be hard for new users to find
but anyway, I want my question about shooting someone from space to be reopened

@DaaaahWhoosh I think the close-reason that Monicas comment was upvoted is insufficient. People can upvote comments far before they can vote to close or reopen, so that should not have so much weight. Who knows who voted that comment up? Closing is the responsibility of the people with enough rep. It seems like that could have been a valid question on Physics, but especially because you added that answerers should assume it's possible, even if it really wasn't, it looks like a good question.
Then again, I don't have the reputation to vote to close or reopen. But I like the idea of this room and want to see if we can get this started, so there's my opinion.
@MolbOrg I agree that it doesn't look like a duplicate. The marked question explicitly says assumes that there suddenly is a strong AI that replaces humans in every way, while this one explicitly assumes that there is not strong AI. But: I agree with Molots comment that this question is basically the same.
So it looks like a duplicate, just a different one than is currently selected...
Is there a way to change the marked duplicate for those with enough rep?

@DaaaahWhoosh by magic of my vote be it so
physics is not offtopic, and it is understandable the reasons and essence of the question. I think it is legit question, and way better formulated than we have recent times
