@thesecretmaster, the comment stream on the touch typing question is drifting toward the nasty. Maybe a mod intervention is needed. Some users just seem to want the last word.
@Buffy I deleted some of the comments on the question; they added nothing and were just noise, for example:

Anyone want to try editing the question? It's super broad and as it currently stands it's just likely to cause disputes like the one in chat.
On another note, my "improvement" to the question would be to ask about "what are the minimum requrements for CS". But that would make it a broader question. So I refrain.

@thesecretmaster I added that since I didn't remember what those comments were. I thought they were more cogent, but couldn't see them to be sure. I assume it requires mod superpowers to see deleted comments.

Would a student's overall CS education benefit by having such a skill, and if so why not make it a required prerequisite?
