@gparyani what happens in two weeks?

@JonathanReez The discussion closes after a month, just like the previous one on the immigration/expatriate close reason?

@gparyani I'm assuming we can change the close votes pretty quickly. I'm happy to go with your proposal for all 5 close reasons
I don't think anyone would really discuss or object
if any error is found we can always update later
if you add the 5 reasons I'll contact the admins and ask them to get it done

@JonathanReez I've only proposed content for three of those five fields for these close reasons. I left the other two blank so as to encourage community input.

@gparyani I don't think we'll get any input, so I'd go with your content for all five
as usual "easier to ask forgiveness than to ask permission" :-) If someone strongly objects we'll make some changes later

Okay, I'll be honest: the above reason is just the "official justification". The true reason why I didn't is because I was suffering from writer's block.
Writing descriptions that convey the right information is difficult. For the immigration/expatriate close reason, I had the Meta.SE "site-specific" close reason to go off of.
Both of those two close reasons are of the "ask this on [other site]" variety.
I guess I could ask the folks over at Writing to see if they'd come up with good ideas.

I'm only seeing two reasons from you so far? One in the linked post and one in the older post

I'm talking about the fields within each close reason. The new system is called the five-field system because there are 5 fields within each one
For this particular close reason (price-shopping), I've only proposed content for the first three of those five fields: the brief description, the usage guidance, and the post notice description. I've not made proposals for the post owner guidance or the privileged user guidance.
Also, this revamp only applies to the close reasons under "community-specific" (i.e. off-topic) (except migration).
