Often a bit quiet, but travel is still down in most of the world.

I am on the 'stay at home till it is safe' line.

My boyfriend has a son marrying early September and we have decided I can not justify traveling there for it.

(Huge spike of cases in both countries involved.)

So it will be a 'near home' holiday for me.

it's been hard having to stay put, especially for people here who like to travel!

We'll get through it. :)

I have not been farther from home than 40 km in over a year. And while I have been 200 km from home once, it was still not across the border. (Hard to do, in the Netherlands.)

And I always remember the bike lanes in Netherlands with nostalgia when riding my bicycle elsewhere

It would be one of my top contenders on where to spend quarantine if I had to choose

I still stand by my answer there, in the Netherlands, forget absolute remote, go for seemingly remote, much easier to find and much more satisfying for most.

But I do agree with the bike lanes and paths. No other country comes near.
