i'm trying to find something like SYD-China-MEX at the end of Dec. The China-Mex can be via CA but not touch US. I'm trying to use China's 48 hour transit w/o visa. Via Japan or Korea would also be good but seems more expensive.
via South America always looks about a grand more expensive or more
@MarkMayo: The Air Asia deals via your site mention an embargo but don't say what that actually is??
@hippietrail yeah, I got that from the Air Asia website, they don't either, but I figured I couldn't really leave it out :/
i might have to ask a new question about what this embargo period is

i think it's actually multiple periods though they always seem to use the singular
i put a bounty on the saudi arabia tourist visa question and it just expired with nobody noticing )-:

Most airline promotions have blackout dates where they don't apply, but unless you can get to the actual fare rules somewhere, I'm not sure how you'd find out when they are
I tried one of the promotional routes and couldn't find a day with any fares at all
i never usually look this far in advance but this year i'll be going at the end of december which is a high season here
@hippietrail aw you could have mentioned beatthatflight in the question ;)
it seemed to redirect straight to airasia so i just used that link

@MarkMayo Thanks. It's the price of getting close to people, but I wouldn't change it.

@JonathanReez loved most of it. I was there as a soc goon, on late shift so it was hard work. Averaged about 30k steps a day
