if anyone says anything bad about siesta i'm going on strike

i've come up with a couple of new tags and i'm retrofitting them

@Mods and power users: Mass retagging and reorganization is nice, but if done more than 10 questions at a time tends to bury the newly-asked and active questions below a wall of resurfaced old ones, and make them difficult to discover. I'd suggest doing it in smaller portions if possible, and AFAIR mods have special mass retag powers that don't bring the questions up to the top of the queue.

just click on questions rather than using the active tab

retagging has no effect on newly asked questions just on active questions

imho either trying to monitor all active questions you've not participated in is less important than tag maintainence, or you could try to make a feature request. generally any well trafficked SE will be hard to monitor all question changes so assuming low traffic is not a good strategy

i did see it come up in a site somewhere once, i'm nearly finished though

there's not really any pratical way to not do it all at once because you have so much in your memory and go a page at a time till you're done

i thought there would be maybe half a dozen relevant questions for tips-and-tricks but there turned out to be many!

yeah, I know.. but it's a feature, not a bug, to have all questions resurface when any kind of edit is done

i also didn't realize we had had previous vantage-points questions before the tall buildings in london one so created a tag for that too

wildlife was another one i had thought of before but now that i go through every single question i see there actually is enough questions for it to be useful and not the same as safari

plus i split identify-this and locate-this and found at least one old question to apply

i also made a couple of tags just so they can become synonyms at some later point

oh yeah i made both clubbing and nightlife which i assume should be synonyms but it's not my specialty. turned up at least one old question that applied too

personally I prefer looking at active questions since that's also the front page, and they're certainly truly buried ;) But maybe we can have a special look at unanswered questions today and knock off a couple

massive effort though, good work! if you're feeling descriptive for tags, I'm onboard to approve any that come through today ;)
