Can someone walk me through why C+H when given 2 and 3 as arguments gives you 1? (I'm still new to Jelly)

the C of 2 is -1, -1 + 3 is 2, the H of 2 is 1
in dyadic chains monads only exist in one pattern where they are evaluated alone, so a structure like that is strictly left to right

if you want 0.5 out of that you can do C+H}, with } being a quick that turns a monad into a dyad that ignores its left argument

One nice way to think about is is that, in dyadic chains, dyads want to use the right argument more than they want to bind to monads
