So I’ll try and get everything caught up here. After removing the majority of the easy stuff (Battery, air box, etc) I was left looking at all the other stuff hooked onto the engine.
My initial thought was to take the intake manifold of cuz it looked like it was going to bump the top of the engine bay if we tried to pull the whole thing out. So I set to work undo the 12mm bolts. 2 of these bolts were on the firewall side of the intake, and were almost impossible to get too. First time I’ve ever used a U-joint successfully
On trying to remove the intake, I discovered that it has a large gap through the middle where a bunch of coolant and vacuum lines run. Getting to this point took about an hour. At this point, Will had a pretty convincing argument for being able to lift it out and remove the intake later.
THANKS PAL
Moved on to pulling out vacuum and coolant lines, and immediately got stuck. These things were ON there. To google. Third link is this question:

Q: Is there a trick to easily removing stuck rubber hoses off fittings?

amphibientIs there a trick to easily removing stuck rubber hoses off fittings? I saw there is a tool like this but I'm afraid of tearing the hose with its point. Is there a better way?

And I can report that I used Paulster’s method with great success. Except...
Doesn’t this look familiar? Crawled under the car to get a better angle on one of the lower lines, and found a dated sticker on the radiator which further confirms its fairly new (but perhaps only cools chocolate milk now)
Somebody wrote this on the block. Far enough below everything that I really wonder what it means...
So right now all of the lines on the passenger side are disconnected except for one sensor clippy that I can’t quite get to until we lift it. Driver side has the AC pump and 2 plastic hose holder clippys. Then the engine mounts and trans and we’ll be good to pull!

@Zshoulders that throttle body looks mint!
@Zshoulders I just see rust. Certainly doesn't look chocolatey

I was also shocked at how clean it was. I would bet money that somebody cleaned it at some point. Does it only look like rust? that was the only line that had (what I thought was) chocolate milk
@Zaid the other oens were pretty clean
ones*
I'm having to label a lot more hoses and stuff on this since I don't really have any good idea of where it should be giong
