language question: I just talked to someone about RBF interpolation, and wondered, do you write "a RBF basis" or "an RBF basis"?

"an RBF". That's because I say "RBF" like "ar bee ef", and the first sound is a vowel sound (like "archive"), so "an" precedes it.
