@amWhy Hello. I try to poke into CRUDE everyday, and I've been busy following my parents around this break x.x not the I'm complaining ofc.
@amWhy =) Pretty not-cold down here.
With mild heating, it's around 75 F or above
@Mithrandir Haha, it sounds like an interesting/strange stackexchange.

@SimplyBeautifulArt No problem, of course. We/I just miss you :'(

:'( well I've been missing my schoolmates like I usually do on every break lol
I've also been playing some of my newest game, but sometimes my fingers aren't as fast as I want them to be if you know what I mean

@amWhy No thanks. I left Iowa almost 20 years ago for a good reason!

@SimplyBeautifulArt Okay, you've convinced me. I'm bailing out of Wisconsin, canceling classes, and will show up at your place: a room, or a simple couch will do just fine for me!

12:22 AM
heh

@XanderHenderson Aww shucks!

You can, of course, join us next week in San Diego
it isn't much of a reprieve, but it is something, I guess

@XanderHenderson I received a 3d printer for Christmas and I guess all of them use it. I was surprised because I had done extensive study in comp sci/EE a few yrs back and had never heard of it. I looked it up. I guess it was initially designed as an educational tool for undergrad EE students and wound up becoming one of the "standards" used in robotics.
Ironically, I am currently printing a pencil holder that has 3.14159... wrapped all around its circumference with a giant $\pi$ embossed on the base :)

@DavidReed nifty!
it is a fun little device
and, as a bonus, it is built on ARM, which seems to be more or less immune to spectre and meltdown (maybe?)
(for what it is worth)
