Hmm, yeah. Though I had a hard time convincing myself that 誰かが is entirely wrong in those sentences, it just seemed... awkward (hence marking it as ?)
Maybe I should modify the answer to be more forceful in saying that it’s adverbial. I really like your parallel with 何か, since that is even more opposed to being marked by が, so I’ll steal that if you don’t mind :)
