Would planning my day in Japanese be an effective immersion/learning method for a beginner?

I recieved the Hobonichi Techo a6 for Christmas and am really excited to use it. I got the Japanese version because I figured it would be good for exposure.

So I was wondering, would it be a good idea, or effective/viable to plan my day in Japanese, or at least part of it? The thing is, I am very much a beginner still, as in chapter 5 of Genki and a very limited knowledge of kanji. So, I would have to look almost everything up, at least for the first few months of the year. However, my reasoning be

I say any amount of practice is practice.
It'll be like telling someone about your daily activities, and it'll probably help with that aspect of the language

@kuchitsu "Imiwa?" on iOS has this feature but not sure where they get the data from; it seems to be missing in the source KANJIDIC

Q: Possible search engine bug? Or lack of understanding on my part?

user3856370If I put in the search term なればなるほど I get one result. If I use a subset of this term (なればなる) I get zero results (I don't need help with this, it's just an example). This leads me to think that there maybe information on the site that I'm unable to find because I haven't put in the precise term ...

Igor: I suspect Imiwa? crossreferences using the radkfile which is provided by the EDICT org
