@FelipeOliveira Saying とる (of whichとった is the past form) for ている doesn't strike me as uniquely Kansai-ben. Quick research online tells me that it's widely distributed across western Japan plus part of central Japan, including Kansai, Shikoku and Kyushu.

@FelipeOliveira Your Japanese sentence is actually quite good. :) するほうがいい→したほうがいい んだから→ので (to match the tone of でしょうか) are the most obvious things. Then more minor, I would say 読んでいる instead of 読んでいた unless you particularly want to emphasize that you are no longer reading it. And “その物語の関西弁で喋るキャラクターは” is a little awkward, I think I would just go with “関西弁を使うキャラクターがいて、” or even “関西弁キャラがいて”

@goldbrick ohhh so とる is ている, damn I had no idea!! I read somewhere that is was some kind of 方言 but they didn't say specifically where it was from though. Thanks a lot!!
@DariusJahandarie Thank you so much, that is very helpful!! I still struggle with being able to tell unnatural bits from natural ones. That will help me a lot!
