@YasashiiEirian are you trying to say something like "I entered the intermediate class, and I study japanese more than I work part-time?"

that usage of ほう feels unnatural to me, to be honest. I think it's redundant.

@strawberryjam Almost like that. As I entered the intermediate class, I tend to study Japanese than doing part-time job.

though I am not sure what you originally tried to translate.

by intermediate class you mean an intermediate level of japanese, or a class of some course?

Intermediate level of Japanese, it might be equal to N2.

I agree with the ほう comment, and I'd use 入ってから instead of 入って

Maybe: アルバイトより日本語の勉強は大事になってきた。

I don't know what "intermediate class" exactly is, but your sentence should be something like 「僕は中級の日本語というレベルが達して、アルバイトするより日本語を勉強する頻度が高い」

@YasashiiEirian there are most likely many other ways to say it but I think my suggestion would be more likely. Though I might be wrong in my interpretation of your sentence.

An intermediate class is anything beyond 初級 I think. 中級 is included in a lot of textbook names, but I'm not sure the word is instantly recognisable in conversation.

that is why it's important to add something like 程度 or レベル,

unless the context is already proper

Repeating する like that （アルバイトする・勉強する） sounds odd to me.

the する can be omitted from アルバイト, I think

alternatively アルバイトするより日本語の勉強の方・・・ might be more natural

「中級クラスに入って」(~and~)がいいか、「入ってから」(since/after~)がいいか、「入ったので」(because~)がいいか、わかりませんけど・‌​・
