Q: What is the Japanese sentence heard in this anime?

H.S.New Prince of Tennis Special 1 Minute 6, Second 37 (the part Sanada gets mad) No matter how many times I listen to it, I cannot get what he says completely. I get it altogether, but I'd like to know the exact Japanese sentence he says. Thanks.

The site doesn't let you add

So when people type "japanese" into the tag box, and show up as suggestions.

So we get all these questions about English-to-Japanese translation, and about Classical Japanese, that don't seem to be about either one . . .

@choco That kind of question gets closed on ELL, too.

A lot of people ask for help with listening, so I suggested they ask in chat :-)

On ELL, I mean.

I guess we could suggest people ask transcription questions on chat if the Japanese.SE community thinks they're off-topic. ("Japanese.SE is not a transcription service" – something like that?)

I guess they get closed as off-topic because they're unlikely to help future users. So they would have been "Too Localized", but now we don't have that . . .

おお、too localized

Hello, @H.S. ! You can ask for help with listening in the Japanese.SE chat room, if you like :-)

I just used the "super-ping", which should have created their chat account, so now I can add them to the list . . .

There we go :-) They should be able to talk if they choose to join chat.

I just learned how to do that today.

Hi, @H.S.! I think this question is likely to be closed. Why? Because although it is about the Japanese language, it's not likely to be useful to future users, and we're trying to build a library of knowledge for people to find when they search online. But I sent you a ping from our Japanese.SE chat room, where you can ask for help for things like this, if you like :-) — snailboat ♦ 2 mins ago

Does that comment seem reasonable?

I think chat is hosted separately, so sometimes chat goes down when the main site works, and sometimes the main site works when chat goes down.

Too bad CloudFlare Japan can't use CloudFlare's U.S. servers as an intermediate hop. It seems like CloudFlare in the U.S. can reach Stack Exchange okay.

Q: What does Mr. Driller say when he picks up an oxygen tank?

rhyaerisI think many people remember the Japanese game series, Mr. Driller. There was an arcade machine and several console games, and they were pretty popular. The idea was to drill through coloured blocks, periodically refilling your air supply with oxygen tanks. However, does anyone know what Mr. Dri...

Why does one question attract close votes while the other stay open?
I'm inclined to close the first question, but would it be inconsistent with leaving other "what is said in XXX"-type questions open?

my guess would be the attempts being explicitly stated, so there is little doubt the OP put effort into it. The first one, it can appear that the OP is just dumping the question here without having done research/effort whatsoever, and it is human nature, I guess, to help someone who appears genuinely out of ideas than one who is throwing, what looks like their homework, out

I think there's also a difference between asking about a word like that and asking for a longer transcription.

I didn't close it outright myself, but I figured other people would vote to close it.

@choco 北大は無料の休学できる。まあ、外国人として「無料」より大きな問題は「ビザ」のですが、僕は「高度人材ビザ」を持ち、問題にならない。

@Flaw On the 常用漢字表 they list this as a difference between 明朝体 and handwritten characters.

I think it's normal for it to be different in some fonts.
