Hello world. I have a question. When you say 'Ich gehe auf die Straße', it means 'I go along the street' or does it mean 'I go to the street'?

My measly English doesn't help me here. So, if I'm at street B and aiming to get to street A, can I say 'Ich gehe auf ''A'' straße'?

@GofunDake Ich gehe zur Beispielstraße, more likely. Possibly in die Beispielstraße, too. Definitely not auf die Beispielstraße, except for very few exceptions where the street name is understood to mean an area (e.g. auf die Reeperbahn).
